Re: [Audyssey] Metroplexity help

2011-09-06 Thread dark

Hi Druhv.

If I remember rightly the combat system works like a simple card game.

Basically, you have your deck with various cards in it, things like punch,
shoot etc.

These cards all have a number. if you draw cards in a numeric sequence you
get a combo attack, so if you have a punch card with number 1 and a shoot
card with number 2, they will combine and in a single turn you will punch
then shoot your enemy doing more damage than either action.

Thus, when you have many cards, you need to work out how many of what
numbers to put in your deck to get the best combo.

That's how I believe it works but I've not played the game for quite some
time now, actually I probably ought to give it another go.

Oh, and to for stall all the questions, the game is at
http://www.metroplexity.com/

Beware the grue!

[Audyssey] Awesome Homer

2011-09-06 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hi Dark,

I have tried your technique for figuring out the combination of the door on
Awesome Homer level 5. It has worked every time. However I can usually figure
it out in less tries with my technique. Of course that could be just the
randomness of it, or that I am just more practiced with my technique. I have
used the same technique for years in Master Mind. It was fun to try a new
technique though. Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] Awesome Homer: level 4 difficulty and hints?

2011-09-06 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hi Alfredo,

From the instructions;

Level 4 keys

Left arrow key = turn left
Right arrow key = turn right
Left control key or down arrow key = use ski poles to speed up
Left shift key or up arrow key = snow plow to slow down

Level 4 objective

Ski down the mountain to where Gonk has taken Marge.

Level 4 hints

Ski to the left of the hawk and to the right of the dove.
The bird in the first tree is the hawk.

And like Dark, I hold the control key down the entire time and just move left
and right as you pass each bird.

I can send you an mp3 if you like.

With @echo on or off at the top and then include it in the zip file? You
could hit the applications menu and select run as administrator so the
registry could be changed. I bet this would save lots of time if oi had
this simple batc file. If anyone is interested, I have one made.

Re: [Audyssey] Castaways: 2.1 idle workers tweak.

2011-09-06 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
Chris, I'm glad you like the idle category and I have written down your
suggestion to remove mothers and ailing from that count it gives. The idle
category was recently suggested by someone from the community, and I was very
excited to put it in because I also thought it was an excellent idea!

I think last week marked my finally beating all 3 missions on hard, but yes it
is quite a big difference between hard and normal. I didn't miss the resources
so much, but the mission people does hurt and the extra random disasters can
wreak havoc at an instant.

Has anyone given the new starter, perks, or fault a try yet? I'd be interested
to hear what people think of them. If any seem totally useless we can figure
out a good replacement.

First of all, I love the concept
behind listing the idle workers.  Could you
pull out the ailing and mothers from the number though as
 it's confusing to
see two idle workers but not find the idle category because
 they're both
mothers.  I think we know that mothers and ailing are
 idle.

Trying my first hard mode game and man, 10 is hard to start
 out with.  Those
extra two workers make a much bigger difference than you'd
 think.

Re: [Audyssey] A new idea for he Castaways installer

2011-09-06 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
Thank you Alfredo. I'll distribute your batch file with the main zip. Back
when I first released Towers of War there was a similar batch file, and for
some reason many people couldn't get it to register while using it. Some had
no trouble of course, but for the ones who did, it seemed like even when they
told it to run as an administrator it didn't. If the same thing happens again,
perhaps someone will know why it is behaving in that unexpected manner.

A suggestion: When someone offers to send a file to those who request it, I
think the request should be sent directly to the one offering it. The whole
list does not need to know that you want the file, just the sender.
Requests of this nature only clutter the list in my opinion. Thanks.

Hi Mich,

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how that is possible. But so once your car
starts, hold down the control key and press the up arrow key to shift
into gear. Now just hold down the control key and almost immediately
you will start hearing the first two cars. Some times you get lucky
and do not even need to move left or right to pass them. And then you
for the first time will hear a chimp. He is mad because you passed
him. But whatever you do, never let off of the control key I E the gas
peddle. And if you run into any of the cars, it slows you down and
damages your car and thus your top speed is now lower and it will now
be more difficult to get to and pass all five cars before you get to
the car with Marge and Gonk. If you do hit a car, you hear a loud car
crashing sound and a chimp yells at you. The only time that I run out
of fuel is if I hit other cars too many times.

I can send you an mp3 if you like.

[Audyssey] Quick Grey Matter Update

2011-09-06 Thread GreyMatter Info
Hello everyone,
This is just a quick email to let you know that our official Grey Matter
Productions page is up at www.greymatterproductions.com. Here you will find
links to the blog, information about the team, and, most importantly, the
Block Party download.
As always, you can get up-to-the-minute information about what we're up to
by following us on twitter at @gmpupdates or by reading the blog at
http://greymatterproductions.com/blog.
And now, back to work on the boxing game.
Best,
Ryan
