 Hi Damien,
Actually, taking a photo with a camera makes the most logical sense.
 Think about it.
First, when someone takes a picture it is commonly called taking a shot
or shooting his or her picture. Second, the film must be developed in a
dark room using chemicals which takes around5 minutes in a dark room
give or take a few. Finally, when a photo is finished the logical thing
to do is hang it on the wall.

how does that explain the shot, the water and the hanging?

 Hi,
I have 3 new trivia questions to post and see if you can figur them
 out.
 I
will post them one at a time. Here is question 1.

A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.
 The
 first is full of
raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the
third is full of lions that
haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

I will post the answer in a couple of days if no one guesses it, but I
seriously doubt it will go unsolved.

Re: [Audyssey] .NET Framework was Important notice.

2007-02-23 Thread damien c. sadler - head of x-sight interactive
ok, the answers to your questions are below:

it sounds to me as if you were running a mismatched version of app and
framework or were missing some other core component the app requires.
i don't think this is the case (see below)

First, can you list the titles of the applications that failed to run with
the .NET Framework?
on the system i'm currently using, all .net framework applications are
failing, including railracer, it's track editor, treasure hunt, etc.

Second, what version of the framework are you running.
i am running .net framework 2.0.

Third, did you check to see if any other components were missing?
as far as i know rr specifies that it uses directx9. so first i downloaded
the one, i can't remember whether it was your website or another, but when i
installed it it still didn't work.
che then suggested that that version of dx was outdated, so when i managed
to retrieve all my data, i ran the directx9 redistributable package which
worked fine on my last system for rr, and still no luck.
as for the track editor which doesn't need directx, that also didn't run, so
i'm pretty sure it's to do with the .net framework having problems running
on my system.

Fourth, as for Jaws did you install the VS scripts.
i've tried vs both with the scripts, which was a failure anyways because
they wouldn't compile, on this system anyway, and without the scripts, which
really was my only option, and it still was not responding.

thanks.

damien

Oh, I forgot one. BSC had troubles with their web site. Although, that

 Hi Kim and all,
I am approving this topic as I am certain many gamers are going to be
asking the same kinds of questions.
 Overview

Windows Vista is a totally new operating system, and is the first
operating system to offer a fully 3D graphical operating environment
 Microsoft has named Windows Arrow.
The new Windows Explorer can not only burn data cds and music cds it has
been updated to burn data dvds, your home vidios and pictures to dvds,
and with Windows media center you can play your dvds and edit media
 content.
Windows Vista has an all new firewall which allows you to block all
ports you are not using to prevent hackers, crackers, trogen horses, and
other attempts to access your data and content remotely.
Windows Vista comes with the .NET Framework 3.0, DirectX 10.0, and
Windows Media 11, Internet Explorer 7.0, Outlook Express 7.0, Windows
Media Center, and a bunch of other new stuff never seen before.
In addition Windows Vista is the first and only operating system that
supports the playing of the new blue ray high definition dvds that have
just came out on the market in the USA. According to press releases from
MS only Vista and newer operating systems will support the blue ray high
 def disk technology.
Since .NET framework 3.0 is now a core component of the operating system
rather than an add on Microsoft has bundled the managed DirectX 10 and
Managed SAPI support for .NET enabled games and applications right out
of the box. No extra software required. Good news for Monty and Raceway
fans which are already using the .NET technologies as the core component
 of those games.
Apparently Windows Vista has also intruduced some built in speech
recognition into the operating system which allows you to voice dictate
emails in Outlook Express, and other documents using notepad wordpad,
 etc..
I've read there is suppose to be some new features with Vista that
allows you to interface with the MS XBox 360, and do some special things
if you have an XBox as well.
One other cool feature I read about is Windows Vista is installed from
images rather than a triditional setup file so the os is litterally
extracted on to your hard drive, and ran and configured from that point.
Here is a general list of requirements for running Vista with Windows
Arrow disabled which I think most blind users would likely wish to do.
You need at least a 40 MB hard drive, 512 MB of ram, 800 MHZ processor,
a dvd disk drive, and a video card that supports 3D axcelerated
graphics. If you want all the really cool blue ray support and the
Windows Arrow desktop experience we are talking a gig of memory and
somethinglike a 1.2 GHZ processor, 3D graphics card, and so on.

So for those of you who would like a manual of danger city, just read
super liam's manual and you will also get an idea what danger city is

Like in super liam, each level in danger city also comprises of acts. This

 super liam.
another similarity is that you jump across mines in danger city like you

 dug

nothing to dug. There's only people shooting at you and mines to jump

 Hi Damien,
First, the answer is no. You don't have to run Vista from the dvd drive.
It can be installed or extracted on to your hard drive and run just like
any prier version of Windows. In fact Vista Home Basic and Premier are
setup to do this by default.
Second, keep in mind Microsoft has created several different versions of
Windows Vista, and each is a little bit different, and comes with
different applications depending on what you are buying it for. Here is
a quick run down of the most common versions.

Windows Vista Home Basic. This version is comparable to XP Home edition.
It is a very stripped down version of Vista, and comes with just the
basics. Should be good enough for the average computer user.
Windows Vista Home Premiere. This version is like Home Basic above
except it includes allot more multimedia applications and features. This
is comparable to XP Media center.
Windows Vista Business. This version comes equip with server side
applications, and apps sutible for small or large business and colleges.
Is comparable to Windows XP Pro.
Finally, Windows Vista Ultament. This version has everything plus some
extras not even available to Home or Business versions. This is
 comparable to Windows XP Enterprise.
You should note all versions listed above come in 32 bit and 64 bit
versions. They also come in retail boxed or OEM versions. If you do the
math there is currently about 16 full versions of Vista, and several
upgrade versions to upgrade XP to Vista. So there is lots of options to
choose from if you are buying to update your system.
Personally, I chose the Vista Home Premiere as it was both in my price
range, and it comes with some extra bells and wistles not available on
 Home Basic.

 Hi,
I have 3 new trivia questions to post and see if you can figur them out. I
will post them one at a time. Here is question 1.

A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.
 The
 first is full of
raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the
third is full of lions that
haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

I will post the answer in a couple of days if no one guesses it, but I
seriously doubt it will go unsolved.

lol good one dude!
but if the man is condemned to death then i suppose the lions should somehow
be alive.
if che is right, then well done. but if i'm right with my theory of the
lions having to be alive, i suppose there is really no safe option unless he
went into the room with the loaded guns at the ready and got shot a straight
knock to the head which would send him down immediately, not feeling
anything.

Re: [Audyssey] Important notice.

2007-02-22 Thread damien c. sadler - head of x-sight interactive
i have run four laptops and two desktops that have all had one issue or
another with the .net framework and accessibility.
it always tends to be the gui side of things.
i was running che's railracer game fine before i got this new system,
although it was the registration dialogs and the track editor programs that
i had problems with.
on this system whenever i run any .net based app it comes up with one of
those annoying error dialogs claiming that the program has encountered a
problem and needs to close.

as for the vs.net, again, on all systems of running it except on one of my
friend's computers, it would always crash and say it wasn't responding,
whereas on the friend's computer jaws was having a problem with it, saying
that there were errors in the script and acting up that way.
so on the six computers i've been using to run .net apps in general, and the
four computers i used to try out vs.net, it has always acted up one way or
another.

 Hi Damien,
I have no idea where you have gathered your information about the .NET
Framework, but it is very much incorrect. The .NET Framework itself is
completely accessible. As for the development ides VS 2003 and VS 2005
are also accessible provided you are using a fairly modern version of
Jaws or Window Eyes. If you are using something like Jaws 4 or 5 forget
it. With Jaws 7-8 or Window Eyes 5.5-6.0 then VS .NET is fine. I'd say
through end user experience Window eyes support for Visual Studio .NET
is superior to the half-hearted attempt Jaws is using.
As far as stibility from .NET Framework 2.0 onward it has been pretty
stable. Just because you may have had some end user bad experiences, can
happen with any piece of software, doesn't make it true the software is
deffective or buggy most of the time.
In fact, my experience in the field is I have very little problem with
the framework when end users were not running mised matched versioning,
and wasn't awareyt he framework needed to be installed prier to
installing a managed component for DirectX, SAPI, and some of the newer
technologies MS has come out with.
Bottomline I don't know what flaws you speak of, and I run several
Framework based apps with absolutely no trouble at all.
As for Vista's classic option it resorts to a XP style desktop. The
truly classic desktop option you are thinking of no longer really exists
as far as I am awayre. However, you can turn off the Windows Arrow 3D
desktop which is a major accessibility hangup at the moment which I will
 certainly be doing.

damien c. sadler - head of x-sight interactive wrote:
i don't know why everyone is getting so uptight about .net. i mean, it's
 new
technology, so it'll probably have many flaws until at least two or three
years of upgrading, and like xp, vista should have a classic option. yes,
speech technology may advance, but with the new accessibility engine
 people
are having to learn from scratch again, not to mention also having to
 switch
to .net which is already not accessible.

I got the super liam manual from someone. Just by reading the manual I
 get
the feeling that super liam works the same as danger city.
So for those of you who would like a manual of danger city, just read
super liam's manual and you will also get an idea what danger city is
 like.
Like in super liam, each level in danger city also comprises of acts.
 This
demo I downloaded from damion's server is only the first level, but when
reading super liam's manual I noticed the similarity between danger city
 And
 super liam.
another similarity is that you jump across mines in danger city like you
would jump across obstacles in super liam. I don't know if there is a
 dug
feature in danger city with down arrow, but in this demo version there's
nothing to dug. There's only people shooting at you and mines to jump
 over.

 Hi,
after all, Shades of Doom is not that complex, at least in the first
 levels.
The Treasure Hunt's maze opens wide right on you and surprises you since
 the
very beginning and yes, I believe that it can be quite difficult to move
around it and not get lost when you had not learned it yet. And especially
to determine where to go at all. Once you know it though, it's pretty
 simple.
Shades of doom is not that strict to beginners. In fact, there is just one
single way to follow at the start, and you virtually cannot get lost in
 area
 1.
All those complex games as you say are all about imagination, courage and
experimenting. Just feel free to give it some time and don't be scared
 that
you could ke killed or lost. After all, it's just a game in the first
 place,
so theres nothing easier than to give it another try and perhaps be more
 successful this time. :-)
Anyway, could you describe your problem a bit more accurately? Currently,
 I
can't see what could possibly trouble you, or maybe I'm just unable to
imagine how to help you at first.
 Take care,
 Lukas

Using the keystrokes and the instructions that actually are provided on
 how
to play the game in the user's guide , learn and practice. Remember your
mistakes and try something else. If going west does not work, go north,
south, or east. It's all a matter of figuring stuff out through
 experience.
They are not designed to be very easy to complete successfully. For the
most part, if they were, there would be no replay value once you've beaten
the game. If you've tried a game once or twice and are getting nowhere,
give it time. Remember, you probably will not win the first time you play
it. Keep working at it. You can ask other people for help, but it's
 always
more fun and rewarding if you can figure it out on your own because you,
 not
 someone else, did it.

ping sound and then at the same TIME THE VOICE SAYING ONE, two, ETC.
IT WILL JUST HELP IF I want to improve on a score. If I know that I
 have
picked up 40 eggs so far then I know how many I have to pick up to beat
 the
score before the time runs out. Say for instance my score is 50 on a
previous game and I want to beat it. It would just be more exciting if
 the
voice can announce the number of each egg picked up.
But the game rocks, its wonderfull that not only purchasable games is
 addictive, but also free games.
 Keep it up

Because of the more complex keystrokes and actions is why I was asked to
 create a boxing trainer.

I welcome all comments but I just want to explain some things.

I modeled the Savage Gamut after the arcade game of Punch Out. In that
game, the two fighters just stand toe-to-toe and punch each other out.

I wanted to try and create a more realistic fighting game because I was
trying to get away from a game type where you hear the punch coming and
 it
stops and then you had to move. But I had to come up with a way so the
punch would not have to stop, so I thought to make a whooshing sound when
your apponent pulled his arm back to punch.

Someone mentioned that they thought the sounds were rubbish. Now, I
 don't
think they are rubbish but I know that they do sound a little cheesy.
 But
 I
needed a different sound between the whoosh of the arm going back and
 the
 punch being thrown.

I understand if you don't like the game. That's just the nature of
 games,
every game won't appeal to everyone.

Of those who did not like the game, please give me some ideas of how a
similar game could be better. This is not a retorical question and I am
 not
being sarcastic. I really would like to know.

It's pretty difficult to memorize all the punches and their proper
 defenses
and counter attacks at first, but it makes some sense once you get used to
it. If there only was a bit more complexity such as the ability to move,
duck or jump, and more fighting actions such as long combos to defend, it
would be very similar to the wonderful fighters like Mortal Kombat,
 Tekken,
 Virtual Fighter, etc.
I do quite like it but once you beat the redemption, it doesn't have very
 high replay value.
 Take care,

 Hi Folks,
Since Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows will be released July 21st 2007, I will be releasing an update to
Sarah and the Castle of Witchcraft and Wizardry after that date to match
 any
additional information in that book about Hogwarts.
I am hoping with David back working on the game it will not be too long
before version 1.0 of Sarah is released.
I am still trying to think of what to do with all the toilets I am putting
into the castle. Yes they do flush and some of them are broken and one
 stall
is being used for mixing a magical potion.
Do you think it would be too much to have Sarah do what she would
 naturally
 do on a toilet?

Visit PCS game for more information.

Subject: [Audyssey] silly game idea

 HI all
since the audio game maker project is going to kick in soon after the
bartimious project have settled in after the fire, I thought of dropping a
silly game idea which came in my mind.
 It happened all like this.
One day at work my computer stressed me out completely because it was
 hanging up constantly.
So I got totally beyond myself and I start banging my feet on the floor,
 something I won't normally do.
One of my colleagues, normally when he wants to make me attentive to
something, he would walk up to me, tap me on my shoulder and talk to me,
 he
doesn't send me e-mails that often.
So I got this formal e-mail message:
Will you please stop banging your feet?
I laughed at the formality of asking me.
So I thought of a game idea.
Your task is to kill enemies hiding under the wooden floor of your office.
You kill them by banging your feet.
Its robbers that hides under the floor.
You get the following e-mail from your colleague unaware that you are
 killing enemies.
 Hi
Will you please stop banging your feet? You are disturbing everyone that
 wants to work.
At that moment you realize that you have to kill the last robbers before
havoc breaks loose and that there isn't time to reply to your colleague.
So you give your feet another few good bangs and before your colleague can
drop another serious message he hears the death cries of the robbers.
This game called foot bang is a nice point racker. Once you manage to
 kill
50 robbers you win the game. You have to bang your feet several times to
kill each robber and if you are not quick enough, the robber comes out
 from
underneath the floor and kills you.
The game is self voicing and so no screen reader is required.
If you are interested in making such a game it will be good to define the
keystrokes so that control will bang your feet, and shift will speak your
 points.
You will hear each robber's death cry .
You will hear constant e-mail messages from your colleague asking you to
 stop banging your feet.
Also if you don't kill all 50 robbers in time, your colleague will report
you to your boss which will come into your office and dismiss you for
causing havoc while you are suppose to work. Once that happens the game is
 also over.
The voice speaking your score as you press shift and the voice reading
your colleague's e-mail messages is 2 different voices.
It would be nice if the voice speaking the e-mail messages can be an
 eloquence voice.
Each e-mail message will become a more urgent request.
But if you guyhs are going to try out creating such a game, you must
 really
find or record a good foot banging sound.
Give it a try once audio game maker is available.
Audio game maker is not for me, I'm just not the type of person who have
 cold hard logic.
But I'm leaving it for you guys.
This is just a silly idea that came up in my mind when I received my
 colleague's formal polite e-mail request.

as late July or 1995 just before the start of Halfblood prince?
(Beware! here tharr be Harry potter spoilers!!),

I'm only asking because I assume that changing the game to reflect the
 state
of Hogwarts post Halfblood prince might require lots of changes, -
Deatheater induced spell damage around the castle and such, and of course
changes in the head master's office and the edition of dumbledore's tomb
(though visiting his tomb might be nice for all Hp fans who got a shok at
 the end of book 6).

And who knows what kind of state Hogwarts will be in after Deathly hallows
 is finished!

Beware he grue must not be named!

 Hi Folks,
Since Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows will be released July 21st 2007, I will be releasing an update to
Sarah and the Castle of Witchcraft and Wizardry after that date to match
 any
additional information in that book about Hogwarts.
I am hoping with David back working on the game it will not be too long
before version 1.0 of Sarah is released.
I am still trying to think of what to do with all the toilets I am
 putting
into the castle. Yes they do flush and some of them are broken and one
 stall
is being used for mixing a magical potion.
Do you think it would be too much to have Sarah do what she would
 naturally
 do on a toilet?

Lol. that's just hilarious. Killing robbers under the floor? Heh. How
 about
the game has levels? Level one you have 10 robbers, 2 20, 3 is 30, and so
 on
till level 20 or so. Of course the robbers get faster and faster. Once
 you
complete all 20 levels, the boss comes after you. He throws different
 items
like clipboards, papers, and the like which you have to catch in midair
 and
throw back at him. Lol. Think I made the game even weirder now.

i also have a silly game idea.
it's kind of like old man stanley's house but different, as it's not
 pinball
 and it's a different story:
you are on your computer like normal when all of a sudden your screen
 reader
stops. it then suddenly says, in the eloquents voice,
you stupid blind person! i hate reading items on the desktop! i don't
 want
to be your screen reader anymore! and it teleports you.
this is my house. you now work for me! you will clean the floors, wash
 up,
and do the dinner, and let me have a nice long rest from your computer!
 and
if you don't, i will kill you! buahahahhahahaha! this makes you really
 angry.
so here you are. you must explore the house and make as much haverk as
 possible. (excuse spelling please)
you start off with a sword and your fists. so you go forward and there's a
cat, you can punch it or chop it up lol. there's a cupboard, and inside is
an extremely powerfull axe -- better than your sword. so you can get that
and then start smashing up the cupboard, all this time eloquents says
 stuff
like stop smashing my cupboard! give me that axe! i want your sword to
 chop
your head off! and then you can go into another room when your done
smashing thigns up in the first room. you get points for each item you
 smash.
then you go into another room, this could be the living room. there's a cd
player, which you can turn on and off. and speed up and slow down, and
 skyp
tracks and other funny things. when your finished you can smash the disk
inside, which stops the cd player working, or you can smash the cd player.
(more points for smashing the disk) the messages become more and more
threatening. you, get, out, of, my, house, right, now
and inside the cd player... is a gun! (that's why you have to smash the
disk) so you get the gun. there's a tv. so ya can shoot the tv and hear a
huge crash, the screen reader's really angry with you now.
so you go into the next room, and smash up other thigns, finding more
weapons and items to reek haverk. you unlock other abilities such as you
being able to spin around and hit multiple objects with your head, arms,
 or
 legs.
at the end your screen reader is so angry and now it's time for the
 faceoff.
you destroy the screen reader and are teleported back home, and you wake
 up.
there's an ending sequence after that, if anyone's interested i will
 e-mail
 off list.
 just an idea.

no. a better thing: how about infinite levels and every 4th the robber
 boss
comes, until like level 100. perhaps not infinite, or, even better, it
starts with 20. you beat the game. 40 levels. beat it again. 60 levels.
 and
you keep on beating the more levels you complete the more are added to the
game and eventually there is an ending. every 4th the boss comes. after
level 20 he comes at you really mad. then when you beat the game at level
 30
he's madder still, and at level 40 he's really mad. basicly he will
eventually end up dying, you'll have to find something to perhaps kill
 him,
or make him run. so perhaps not dying lol

sapi voices? i hate mike, mary and sam. they suck. just wish you didn't have

will make the game a lot smaller. just wish the proper ones weren't so big,
weren't charged for, and would actually work without crashing the

i think i'd make all my games self-voicing unless anyone had any objections.

 Hi Nicol,
I still have SAPI read the tarot cards since it would require Sarah to
 read
almost 100 more things and would make the game much larger.
I have the Kate voice read the cards since she is on my system but the
 game
will read the cards by what ever voices you already have, Kate is not
 included with the game!
You hit v to choose your preferred voice but this will only be necessary
 in
 the Divination classroom.
When Sarah first tries out the tarot deck, she gets some magical energy
 from
 the cards.

When Sarah reads the books in the library it is not her voice but the
 voice
 of the book that speaks.
So when she gets to the book that screams, it is the book itself screaming
 not Sarah.
Harry does something like this in the first Harry Potter book.
Some books have clues to puzzles in the game while others give her
additional magical power to cast spells.
I was originally going to withhold some spells until she read the book but
changed my mind and gave her all the spells in the demo level.
After all, she is a graduate of the Salem school so she should have some
 knowledge of the spells.

Both the tarot feature and the library are available only to registered
owners of the game, and are not in the demo level.

 Phil

 Hay phil
I remember when you posted that mp3 file, the sneek preview that there
was a deck of cards that sarah picked up.
And that when you press x kate reads each card's description. But the new
game will have sarah's voice instead of the synthesized voice. Have you
included the deck of cards in the new version? But does the deck of
 cards
 aid you in your quest?
I'm just very puzzled how the library books are going to work. In the
 manual
you said that there's some spells you have to find its meaning in the
 library.
I would just like you to explain something to me. If this is going to be
 a
spoiler when you explain this, then I'll rather wait to try out the demo,
but if this will not result in a spoiler, please satisfy my curiosity?
You said that when sarah reads some of the books in the library, she will
scream out of horror. Now this is what's puzzling me.
Say for instance the book that's causing her to scream is very
 interesting.
Ok, I'm walking into the library, I find this book.
Now the moment I press x for examine sarah reads the book and starts
 screaming.
How is this going to work? If sarah is the main narrating voice how
would it be possible for her to read a book and scream at the same time?
Will it be 2 sarah voices one reading and once screaming|? Sayh for
instance she starts reading this book and it sounds interesting to me.
 But
now she is screaming at the same time. Will it be possible to still
 clearly
hear each word as she is reading from the book while she is screaming?
Won't her screaming overwhelm the voice reading the book? Won't the
screaming all the time make it impossible for me to hear the book's
 reading?

 Latest PCS Games News,

Both GMA and Draconis Entertainment are on vacation until February.

In the meantime, I will work on getting the bugs out and adding

I do not want to post the game before those major people at the two

cannot publish Audio Game Maker since we need to purchase new copies.
 Next
to that, we have to set up a new office on Monday at a new location,
 which
means that there we can't work on Audio Game Maker full time.

 We will keep you updated.

 Greets,

 Richard

Liam? I don't see anything about the sharp shooter/alt key option in jd.
This looks great for rockets! Guys, if you press alt, it only fires one
bullet from teh machine gun. Please forgive me if this is soething you
find out through hard work, but it doesn't seem like it would be. Kll me
if it is, but this is pretty useful. Learned it from Chris' review.
Take care, and sorry if there is another way you can fgure this out.

 Hi Everett,
I do not want to post the public beta that I released in 2005 and the new
full release of Sarah is just a few weeks away so I would not want to take
all the time in uploading the current version now just to do it again in
 three weeks.
Uploading a large file takes a lot longer than downloading it! Besides if
 I
put it up, people would be hounding me for registration keys to unlock all
the floors of the castle and with everyone who can do that on vacation I
would be constantly having to say, sorry you'll have to wait until David
 gets back.

As it now stands it is about 170 MB and has
 1,750 sound files.
 Phil

Well hire some FBI agents to go and nab him and let's get this show on
 the
 road!
Nah seriously, would you mind if someone posted a file on senspace or
 yousend it or something?
Just wanted to see what it was like.

 Hi Everett,
I was planning to put up a new link to the Sarah game a month ago but
 ran
into bugs that needed to be corrected.
I should have removed the link.
 Sorry,
It will be some time in February before I can post a new version.
This is because David Greenwood who is helping me fix the bugs is away
 for
 vacation until then.
 Sincerely,
 Phil

Has anyone else had trouble downloading sara? I dunno what's wrong, but
when I click the dl link I get the infamous page cannot be displayed.
 Just
a quarstion I figured I'd throw out there.

Re: [Audyssey] Future USA Games product designs.

2007-01-19 Thread damien c. sadler - head of x-sight interactive
i wasn't saying only make it for windows 9x etc, but make it available for
those people as well as the ones using 2000, nt, me, xp, and vista. besides,
who's going to start using vista with no accessibility involved, especially
when you have to keep the windows cd in the drive all the time? that'll be a
bit out of the ordinary ...

damien

 Hi,
 Quote
the problem is not everyone has all the funding to get all the topshot
equipment. see there's where the conflict begins.
 End quote

That isn't the half of it. In order to really go forward with .NET I am
likely better off dropping 9x operating systems altogether and
 supporting 2000, XP, and Vista.
However, the problem is that many of the people who are now on pre-order
status for Montezuma's Revenge and Raceway had no idea of what the final
system requirements would be. Those using 9x would be getting cheated,
and I am not in a financial position to offer product refunds.
