I am also happy.
The next systems the network here will be going to will be fully 64 bit.
Now that I have spent the cash on upgrading supernova there is
finally no reason not to stay back.
When this system dies I will be switching fully over to 64 bit.
However 32 bit will probably have to
its a pitty we couldn't have something that simulates a serial port,
then have something like espeak, or sapi or even nvda be routed to
that port, sapi would be real good.
but what would you need for that I wander.

If you mean dos boxes within windows, jaws has problems but NVDA just
read them fine with review keys (numpad 1-9)

Well, I was able to do that in vmware with help of a friend who wrote a
fake braile n' speak in python that used espeak.
The problem is it was running on COM8, and while for screen readers you
could force the installer to go to com8 for the synth, dosbox's config
only will accept com1-4. It's
Hi Saygilar,
Yes, Reaction is a real game.
winreac.exe 94k bytes August 2011
Reaction is a simple little game to test your reaction time to a changing color

Hi Angela,
Since we have not heard from a moderator on the subject, I do believe that we
are allowed to post log files of games to the list. Probably the game that has
been posted most would be Pipe 2 Blast Chamber. But we have also seen golf log
files as well as Awesome Homer and Mach 1
Hi Stephen,
Right. Hardware sinths, especially serial devices, are definitely a
thing of the past. None of my computers even have a serial port, and
the only way I might be able to use a serial device is via a USB to
serial convertion cable. Unfortunately, older screen readers like Jaws

Microsoft could take a lesson from you. I'm glad to hear that you will
still be producing games for older machines. You are more customer oriented
than Microsoft. By the time they get the bugs worked out of Windows 8,
Windows 10 will be out, which we should be buying. I'd rather see an OS
Hi Shaun,
I don't see any need to hang onto XP for gaming. My new laptop, which
is 64-bit, runs all of the VB 6 games from Jim Kitchen, GMA, etc just
fine when I turn off User Account Control. Its all a matter of getting
the correct dependencies installed, and most of the VI games will
still run
Hi Charles,
Well, to be honest it is a simple issue of supply and demand as you
know. While all of the new desktops and laptops I've seen out on the
shelves at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Staples, Office Max, etc are all 64-bit
systems running Windows 7 that doesn't mean this community will
upgrade
Hey, I was wondering if nvda could work with DOS box.
If it does can someone tell me how to get it to read the game part of
the screen?
Thanks.

No modern windows screen readers will work with dosbox because of the
way the text is rendered, sorry.
