Hi Dark,
No, jobs and game programming aren't mutually exclusive but it can be
tiring to do both. If you spend 8 to 10 hours a day behind a computer
programming for employer x and come home to do more of the same your
hands will get tired, your mind begins to fuzz out, and at that point of
the
roved that development and jobs aren't mutually exclusive,
even if developement does have to slow down somewhat.

Hi Bryan,
That's really not that unusual for a single developer. It is hard to
gage exactly how long a project will take when it is done in free time,
the developer doesn't have a fixed schedule for development, and if he
divides his free time between programming and something else.

Hi Dark,
Yes, I have to agree somewhat. I started playing accessible games
earlier than you, and back when I started there was ESP, GMA, BSC, Jim
Kitchen, and a couple of others. Well, in that time I've seen a lot of
developers and potential developers come and go. ESP has been turned
over to
press enter on it.
this counts for weapons too, just look at your character's hands.

It is funny, when i started looking into audiogames I sort of had a sense
that the main developers were Bsc, Gma, Lworks, Draconis and Vip gameszone.
Now, two of those have virtually dropped off the map as far as new games go.
I admit, i could be (and hope I am), surprised again, --- as I have

Yeah, it's been a long time. But no need to be sad. I'll need people to test
the next ambitious project. Also, Entombed is calling out for an overworld
and a general expansion of locales.

I'm finishing up the engine with Entombed right now and working on more
content. It will go to beta soon. As for the actual release, I'm not sure.
Some of the new content is fairly complex - like new spells, but it will go
faster than the majority of the alpha. I'm hoping to have the next alpha

Hey Listers,
I've just rejoined the group and am interested to know how far "Entombed" is
from its final release. It seems I read somewhere that it was expected in
Fall of 2009, and here we are. Just eager for that roguelike action again!
