fs04 is like 70 here in nz, fsx is like 100 the more accessible and cheaper option is 04, although I do have fs2002 but its not futurproofed. now the iyp is like 60 us I think so its just around 200 for me already that I am playing, may be able to get fs04 cheaper maybe. as you can see anything else over that may just be overkill. well I plan to get iyp and fs04, fsx I could get but the fact that even though it could probably run on my rig with all the non accessible menus and the fact fs04 can be made accessible with turning full screen off and killing the olac.dll file, I could probably do this. Re: [Audyssey] Blind Pilots Project: Around the World in a Douglas DC-3
Hi, Alternatively, we can ask the developer of Itsyourplane for some help. He seems a friendly, approachable fellow. Worst case, there may be another FMS we can use when we know a visual approach is required. On another note, correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember from my FS Navigator days that it was possible to adjust the navigation 1 frequencies in one of those edit boxes. I'm just curious: wouldn't that have worked for the ILS approach as well? Thanks, Zack. [Audyssey] Blind Pilots Project: Radar Contact
Overview of RC: http://www.sendspace.com/file/4933z1 Just a few words of note for anyone who's going to try using IYP and Radar Contact. -Descents in 747-400 seem to max out the Vertical Speed at -2400 feet per minute, no matter how small the incriments. You can set the vertical speed. You can say "Set vertical speed to 1800", to set the VS to -1800 feet per minute. The 737-400 doesn't have this problem, to my knowledge. -If you've got the 'weather' option set in RC settings for HOLDING, then you may be asked to do a few laps, until traffic clears up or weather inproves. When ATC gives clearance to proceed, switch GPS switch on, and turn NAV mode on. If the controller tells you to descent in 1,000 feet incriments, this may be an indication that you're coming in for a visual approach... I'm trying to figure out a way around this.
