Re: [Audyssey] can anyone recommend good ps1 or ps2 emulators?

2009-03-28 Thread Constantine
But the problem comes when it has to emulate it. Emulating a system is no
easy task. Emulating the play station 2 takes way more cpu power than the
regular system itself - double, or tripple, the power, to actually emulate
the thing.

The ps3 will require a quad core computer, most likely.

2 gigs of ram should be plenty though. not even the most advanced sighted 3
d games make use of 4 yet, so I am pretty sure that a mere emulatur for an
old game system should be able to run smoothly with less than that.

Well, you can give it a try. Try googling the emulator zone and see what you
come up with. The ps2 emulator at the top is the one I recommend - or the
second one, I can't remember now.

hope that helps

Jeepers, I'm running a core2duo 2.4ghz with a fairly decent video
card, but a mere 2gb of ram, so ps2 emulation isn't looking too
hopeful.

I googled EPSZ emulator and came up with ePSXe (note the different
spelling). Seems like a pretty popular choice but I just wanted to
check that's the program you meant in case there's some lesser known
project I've missed.

Hi all,

Just having a massive clear out of my place. I came across a stack of
old playstation titles, and a few for ps2. I don't own a console
anymore, thought it might be cool to make iso's of these though to
have more games available on the move.

From my initial googling, it Seems the road to emulation has many

twists and turns, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone has a heads up
on what's usable and gets the job done?
