[Audyssey] mush client help

2015-11-11 Thread michael maslo
Hi list:

I was wondering for those who use mush client if they could help me.

I have a issue where when I play sounds in a mud the sounds get cut off when
the screen reader talks or a different sound is about to play.

Is there a plug in or something in the settings that I need to turn on or
off to make the sounds fully play?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen this in a few random cases. My best guess would be to install the
lua audio plugin. If that doesn't work, I've not a clue.

[Audyssey] Mush Client help

2015-10-18 Thread michael maslo
Hi everyone:

I was wondering if anyone knew how to do the following thing on mush client.

I had it happen once before but I do not know how to do it now.

I want to have the output text written to a notepad file and then be able to
go back and forth between the normal input window and the output window or
the notepad window.

Can anyone tell me how this is able to be done? Is it a script or is it a
plug in or what?

If someone would be able to help e I would sincerely appreciate it.

I'm presuming you're talking about the output_functions plugin, distributed
as part of the alter aeon mush-z package.
If you download mush-z, you should be able to extract the plugin and use it
in any world you want.

[Audyssey] Mush client madness and another question about alter aeon

2012-11-14 Thread gamers

Ok, sorry I have come to this discussion a little late but if you are
referring to getting an error when trying to open the Alter Aeon world file
from the recent files menu in mush when you first install then this is
likely not working as it is pointing t a drive letter which you do not have
on your system.

To get around this do the following.

1. load mush.
2. press ctrl+o to open a world file.
3. navigate your folders to find the worlds folder inside the mush.z folder
(this may alter depending on where you installed it) Inside the worlds
folder you will find a folder called alteraeon, go into there.
4. Now find a file called alter_aeon.mcl and open it.

That should get you in.

The next time you play after that you should be able to load mush and simply
choose the first recently opened file from the file menul. I do this by
simply hitting alt+f and then 1.

Hope this helps.

So, question #1
Does anyone have the contact info for the guy who developed the mush z

Second: Does anyone know of a mudd client that I can use to play alter

Thanks

I'm really getting tired of this, but alter aeon is such a great gzame.
But, maybe it's like a poor person tasting a great champagne. Once in a

It would appear to me that your client has broken path info. If I
were you, I'd create a new world, and set it up with all the
plugins from the original. This means:
alteraeon, mush reader, output functions, auto retyping, and
channel history. There may be more that I'm missing, but that's
most of the list. When you create the world, make sure you give
it the following:

world name: alter aeon
tcip/ip: 66.172.33.242
There's another field, something that wants a url, put in
www.alteraeon.com

Port: 3010

Hope this helps,

When I tried to go to the mush site though the alter aeon site, all the
plugin links wre dead. Even the guy who made them's website was dead.

Luckily, I found the version that worked, and I'm going to burn it to a
disk, put it on a thumb drive, and put a copy of the program on an SD card
and glue the copywrite slide to locked.

Mathayas on Alter Aeon that's me for help and support with it. There are
links to it on the Alter Aeon website just after the links to Mush
Client. I'm loged in often and I'm known for working with people to get
it set up and explaining how it all works. I'll probably be releasing
another version in a few days, I have an unpublished copy that I'm
having people test at the moment. There are issues caused by the way
that I support the mud sound protocol versis the frequency of changes to
the sounds by Alter Aeon staffmembers, such that every time a single
sound is changed my pack is in need of updating, and updating requires
sorting through more than 400 sound files to try and figure out what was
changed as I haven't gotten Dentin to create a listing of recently
changed files just yet. No hard feelings toward him on that either, as
the big issue is the way I'm supporting msp, but other than that it's
the best way to go at it that I know of on account of it's being more
responsive do to not having to search multiple folders for sounds. The
last released version of MTScripts 5.1.5.4 or 5154 plays loads of
buzzing noises throughout play do to the fact that Alter Aeon is trying
to play sounds that don't exist. I've been waiting for development of
sounds to slow down a bit before I release another one in the hopes that
it wouldn't do the exact same thing just a few days after I got it out
the door.

Re: [Audyssey] Mush client help

2012-10-02 Thread john
I'm pretty certain .ogg and .wav files work well at the same
time. I've got a few wavs for alteraeon set up, and the majority
of the soundpack is .ogg. There's a special plugin to play the
ogg files though, so that could be part of it.

Implementation of sound in most clients really isn't that high
quality. My guess is that if it has to switch codecs or play
from a
compressed file instead of a .wav file, it has to kill the
previous
playout session. One thing you could try is to make sure all
your
audio files are in .wav format, and all of them are the same
number of

channels and sample rate.

When I was building the mixer stack for the Alter Aeon custom
client,
I just sat down and wrote one from scratch that could play out
any
number of simultaneous channels regardless of format; I used to
do
that sort of thing for a living, so it was the obvious approach
to me.

It only takes a few hours if you know what you're doing.

But for a lot of other client creators, they just use the windows
codec layer or some other goofy library. Normally these things
have

all kinds of bugs and interface stupidity, even though the basic
concept is pretty simple. At this point, I'd rather shoot myself
in
the face than try to use the win32 codec API. It's beyond
ridiculous

when all you want to do is mix and play out some stuff.

To hi John one last question if you know.

Do you know how to make the sounds play fully? I notice that a sound plays or
starts to play but if another sound needs to play it stops the previous sound
before it fully plays. T

 just not sure how.

Re: [Audyssey] Mush client help

2012-09-29 Thread john
That depends on what you want to do. If you just want to trigger
on a line of text to do something, then the following should
help:

Basically, in the trigger dialog (control shift eight) there are
four important fields. The first is the trigger box, where you
paste in the line of text you want the client to trigger on. The
second is the send box, where you enter the text you want sent
the match. The third important element is the send to list. Here,
you select where you want to send whatever you have in the send
box. You could use this to send to the mud, or a plugin, for
example. The last important item is the omit from output
checkbox. I'll explain in more detail below:
When you create a trigger, you are telling your client that when
it recieves a certain line of text it needs to do something. That
something could be send a command to the mud you're playing, send
something to a scrip file, or just stop the line from showing up
on your screen. The trigger box (the edit field you are in when
you hit add) is where you tell the client what line of text you
want it to trigger on. Usually, you'll want to copy and paste in
a line of text from the mud. If your text contains variables (a
name, a gender or an object) you can replace that portion of the
string with * (asterisk). For example:

Bob tells Joe to go to the movies.
If you wanted the client to trigger on that line, but make sure
that the name bob could change, you would use:

* tells Joe to go to the movies.
Once you have the trigger on text set up, you need to tell your
client what to do with it.
Press alt s to move to the send box, and type out what you want
to have the client send.
Let's say you wanted to make a trigger to cast a heal spell on a
person when they asked. Your trigger would look like:

Trigger on: * asks for a heal.
Send: cast heal %1
The %1 in the send box references the * you put in your trigger
on text. The number after the % tells the client which asterisk
to look at. In this case, you wanted the name of the person
asking for a heal, so you would use %1. If you had multiple
asterisks in your trigger on text, the number after the % goes in
order.
Next, press tab twice to move to the send to list. Here is where
you specify where the data in the send box goes.
There are several different options, but the two I'm going to
cover are world and script. World is the first option in the
list, and it tells the client to send something to the mud. If
you were to use the above example of a heal trigger, you would
want to set the send to box to world, so that the mud gets the
line

cast heal %1
Note that the %1 will have transformed into whatever was in the
asterisk in your trigger on text. The other option I'm going to
discuss is script. This tells the mud to send your information in
the send box to a plugin. I'm not sure exactly how it works, so
you'll have to experiment with that part.
The last thing I want to go over is the omit from output
checkbox. This, in my opinion, is one of the best features of the
client. If you put a line of text in the trigger on field, and
check this box, the line you specified will not show up on your
screen and will not be processed by plugins. This is really good
for spam management.

Hope this rather lengthy message helps,
John.

Hi.

i'd personally love someone to do a basic tutorial about Vip mud, ---
something for complete Mud newbies. I tried it, but found things a litle
confusing to say the least, and I must say the manual wasn't great.

of course, this could just be me being an absolute thicko, but there are
really careful and great walkthroughs and reviews for audio games, even
complex ones like Sarah and Rail racer, so something similar for vip mud
would be great i think.

oh and yes, i heard the demo on blind cool Tech, but again, while it
showed up a bit about creating trigger or whatever, i would've liked
something more basic than that, - an intro to muds in general and vip
mud in particular.

Beware the Grue!

[Audyssey] Mush Client MSP

2008-11-03 Thread MICHAEL MASLO
Hi everyone:

Does anyone know if mush client supports msp? IF so, do you know how to
configure it? I have VIP but I can't get it to work although I have a
registered copy. Please anyone who can help would be appreciated.

If it does work what version of the client do I need?

Also does anyone know if zmud is accessible or has scripts for it?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Michael,
what sort of trouble are you having with VIP mud? I use it and like the
client very much. Maybe I can help.

Re: [Audyssey] Mush Client MSP

2008-11-03 Thread dark

Hi.

i'd personally love someone to do a basic tutorial about Vip mud, ---
something for complete Mud newbies.

Dark.

[Audyssey] mush client

2008-03-25 Thread john snowling
Hi all.

I'm trying to play a mud called Imperian using both mush client and Mud bot
for maps within the game.

The problem I'm getting is that under global preferences the timer under
global settings only allows me to be connected for up to 2 minutes. Is
there a keep alive system within mush client or do I need to look for that
within the mud.

Thanks.

if you were going there to look up monkey term,

has more stuff on it. I also have scripts to give monkey term some features
like auto say and volume controls for com audio sound output and stuff, not
to mention it speaks using jaws, window eyes or sapi by default.
