It's crazy, I just sent a message to you Tom about the november update, thanks for clearing up the directx issue, I was just reading what my performance link said I was running; 3D graphics only matter to the sighted world, 3D audio means more to me!! Here's my thing, I think the game is well done the trailer was great, I'd like to see how I make out in those Tombs. Re: [Audyssey] tomb/vista and direct x
Hi Michael and all, I feel the need to point out that it makes no difference to the game weather you are running 32 byt Vista or64 byt Vista. The reason is that one of the major advantages of the .NET languages such as C-Sharp is they don't have to be recompiled and optomized for specific versions of Windows as you would with triditional C++ applications. All of the low level OS specific stuff is handled by the .NET Framework itself. Optomization for a Windows OS actually happens when the application is run and the .NET runtime environment performs real time optomization and exicution on the fly. If that confuses you just know 32 byt and 64 byt is not the problem here. The problem is to do with some general compatibility issues with Vista which were corrected in Beta 2. Thanks. michael maslo wrote: No 64 bit works differently. Re: [Audyssey] tomb/vista and direct x
Hi, I had that same problem. Actually Tom had explained that you should allow the directx to extract into a temp file of your choice to be used for the files extracted, and then find the dxsetup.exe and run it. It will load up all those just extracted files where they need to go. Hope that helps. al - Original Message - From: "important" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2009 6:45 PM Subject: [Audyssey] tomb/vista and direct x Hello, I have Vista and downloaded the framework, I then downloaded the direct x from the link on the products page from the USA site; after downloading the direct x a diologue appeared asking where I wanted the download to be placed, where would that be? thanks --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
