I'm running gnome, but i have a strange problem.
When i'm exiting gnome the session is not saved is appended to ~/.gnome/session.
For example, after about 10 restarts, gnome lunches 15 firefox, 28
terminals, 8 thunderbird... etc..

I have all the following versions of automake:
1.5, 1.8.5-r2, 1.6.3, 1.7.9, 1.4_p6, 1.9.4
The latest emerge system unmerged my erstwhile only automake - 1.8.5-r1 -
and gave me all the above. Any clues, pointers, advice - any at all -
