There is a 'shout' useflag. Do you have it unset?
I have to watch a lot of dav video files and possibly convert
them to a more common video format like avi or mp4.
What are my options?

I think you should do a bug report.

CVE https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2018-4013 I
notice that x265 ffmpeg and other video stuff is rebuilding now. What
ebuild is required for the patch to that CVE?

Hello all,
I've just gotten Scrubs Season 8 on DVD (as well as House Season 5 and a
Dylan Moran DVD), and have found, to my chagrin, that I can't seem to
play or rip it on my computer. SMplayer, VLC, Xine, K3B, DVD::Rip and
AcidRip all seem to have the same basic problem:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, your suggestion is my "Plan B". I was just
going to try the other and see if it made a difference.
I'm using media-video/vlc to stream video across my lan. This software
uses ffmpeg to do it's encoding.
d its not in the gentoo
packages.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

OK, i have some anime in *.mkv, subtitles are in the file(softsub), and
I can't see them in mplayer. When I open video in Xine, xine will crash.
VLC doesn't have Advanced SubStationAlpha support. Do you know any
player, where ASS/SAA working fine?

Hi,
I wish to ask if anyone also have same feeling that Winamp running on
Wine (ALSA output) have better sound quality than players like VLC,
XMMS, Amarok and even songbird just as many others?
What's wrong with decoding of audio if I have such feeling running
now Winamp?
Thanks,
Mateusz M.
