Neither of the problems are related to the actual code changes that have
gone in recently, that I can see.
Anyone else got an idea as to what's going on?

If we do one, then we should definitely do all three.

I noticed GeoNode runs a CLA Bot that automatically checks if people
providing PRs have signed the CLA, is it worth us trying something like it?
Other than keeping the list of signers uptodate it doesn't look too
burdensome.
See https://github.com/apps/cla-bot for more info

It seems odd that you are dealing with java.awt.Rectangles - I'm not sure
where you are getting them from as there is no mention in the code. I
modified your code to this:
public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
File input = new
File("/home/ian/code/geotools-coo
How different are we talking about here? You'll probably need to share some
code and example data to allow anyone to look into this.

If windows and mac users especially can test that would be great.

If you have changes that you would like in GeoTools 23.4, GeoServer 2.17.4
or GeoWebCache 1.17.4 releases please make sure that they are merged today
as tomorrow (18th Dec) Jody and I will be making what is probably the final
release of those branches.

In general asking on this list is preferable to contacting module
maintainers directly.
