Hello,
I have fews problems to compile The Gimp 1.1.15 under FreeBSD 3.3.
I found workarounds but I don't known why I must use them!
I have gettext but troubles with the value of INTLIBS and problems with perl
plug-ins and helpbrowser.
I have put my changes on the following page:

Howdy all,
Using the latest and greatest as of about 3pm CST today, I have run into
some odd behavior. At some point well into messing with an image, it
won't let me switch to the eraser tool, instead deeming a pencil tool
more appropriate. This happened twice working on the same image and I had

The cause of the INTLLIBS problem is that gettext.m4 doesn't set
the variable correctly. I've sent following patch to gettext maintainer
to fix it. It will be fixed in the future r

In that case the OK and Apply buttons would be grayed out and only New
would be available.

Hi,
tonight two new plug-ins were checked into the tree. I now that we have not
officially declared a plug-in freeze, but I think it was somehow clear that
it is too late to add new plug-ins. The CVS ChangeLog claims:

Hi all!
I've been using the Perl plug-in logulator for logos for quite a while, and
I ran into several
(probably) little troubles, but I am clueless on whether other people are
having them, so I would like to call for someone to share their experiences
and tests of this powerful and nice tool. I a

It would help a lot if you could be a little more precise about what
you think has to be redone and why. Of course you are right and I am
aware of the problems in the flame plug-in, but others m
Sorry for that.
I think the megawidget has changed a lot in other plugins. So why not
use it.
It should be able to use as gradients all gradients that are in GIMP as
for exampe gflare allows.

If you have not yet noticed: The use of megawidget is strongly discouraged
and our goal is to get rid of it. The flame plug-in that includes its own
version of the library is of course doing the worst.

Hi Folks, sorry for the somehow off-topic, but...
I desperately try for over two weeks now to cancel my mailing list
subscription for [EMAIL PROTECTED] and subscribe as [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Nothing happens when I follow the guidelines on our homepage.
Is there anybody listening who could look int
Hello all,
Please pardon my poor attention span...
I think I must have missed some previous messages about "iscissors"
since it is in the subject line but not in the message. Is there an
archive where I can see what has been going on with iscissors?
Thanks,

Regards all,
I'm trying to cancel from this mailing list for months now. Any ideas
how!!!

Hi!
Just wanted to try gimp-1.1.15 and I get a SEGV at startup. (after loading
plugins). After removing "gap_decode_mpeg" plugin, everything works well

Hi,
I just looked into GDynText-1.4.4. It fixes a bug that was reported in the
bug-tracking system and I have included that bug-fix into the CVS version.
However GDynText starts to diverge from the CVS version distributed with

Lots of good ideas there Sven.
One thing that might be an idea is a DynText manager of some sort. A few
times I've had it where I've clicked on a DynText layer and it's created
a new layer instead of editing the old
Hi,
Now that nearly all strings should be marked for translation, I've
updated the message files on my local tree and created some
statistics regarding the status of Gimp's translation. This might be
of interest for people who want to help finishing the translations
for 1.2. Before you start to
