Hi,
What is the minimal requirement on the gtk/glib front for gimp 2.3.0 ? I
have gtk 2.4.6 and since my computer has no internet access, upgrading
libraries is a real pain...
Also, I do not want to download 15MiB of archive from work to read after
that in the install file that I cannot use it
I've been through the release notes/ news for gimp 2.3.
No changes conserning beeing able to work with set of commands to record
and perform on several pictures?
And maybe it's a silly question, not knowing nothing about programming,
but couldn't it be made possible to mark more than one picture
Hi,
It might appeal stupid (or not) to some people here, but how do you
insert images? The thing I do is open another window with the image
that I want, and copy and paste. Is there an easier way? Thnx in

I am currently experiencing problems with the GIMP
Deweirdifyer plug-in. It claims to make GIMP stay in one window, one
icon in the task bar, but it doesn't. I am using Windows XP with GIMP
v2.2.7 and the description in the official GIMP plug-ins site says it

An MS Windows desktop icon is in the .ico format. It means Icon
format. A .ico format is well known too, as it is almost every icon's
format.
How can I edit a .ico file in the Gimp? My version (2.06 on FreeBSD) does
not recognise them at present.

Garnetts Corner,
You could create a BMP file and then use a BMP to ICO converter.
Here is a webpage that does the conversion for you:
http://www.html-kit.com/e/favicon.cgi Just rename favicon to whatever
filename you want.
I think the BMP needs to be a certain mode (e.g. 24bit?) before it can convert
to ICO.

I am familiar with jpeg, png, tiff, eps and so on image formats.
But what format is an MSWindows desktop icon in? Is it one of the
well-known formats or is it a format all its own? I know the
suffix is .ico and it is in RGB color model.
