Carol is using the CVS version of GAP which has much better support for importing video and doesn't any longer rely on the outdated XAnim. well, there you go, now we both know. to get gap from cvs follow these instructions: http://www.gimp.org/source/howtos/stable-cvs-get.html only use "cvs checkout gimp-gap" instead of "cvs checkout -r gimp-2-2 gimp" as the tutorial says. carol Using the Gimp-gap CVS and after making little changes to some of the programs that Gimp-gap needs, I have working the "Xtns ->Split video into Frames option". It gives me three options: Extract Videorange MPlayer based extract XANIM based extract. I just try the Videorange option with the mvi_0082.avi (http://carol.gimp.org/gimp/2.1/gap/extract/) and the extraction of the frame worked. [Gimp-user] No printing options from GIMP
Hello: I compilled gimp 2.0.4 and it works fine, but I don't have a print option. I use a Cannon LBP4 printer and as Gimp-print does not include this driver, I installed Cups. But I also need to print out from Gimp applications. If I compille Gimp-print, I get problems with Cups ( localhost:631 offers only Gimp-print drivers, but not ESP ones ). I need to disable print in the gimp configuration, If not, the compilation gives an error. I also tried the Print-2.0.2.tar.gz plugin, but withouth success. So, at this moment I cannot print out of Gimp. I always have been able to print from older Gimp versions putting in the print option the parameters Printer Model: PostScritp Level 2 Printer Name: kprinter. But now I don't have a print option. Is there a solution to this? Beatriz ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
[Gimp-user] Gtk/Gimp shows no fonts
Hallo, I compiled gimp-1.3.16 with gtk-2.2.1. No errors, but a message asking for gtk > 2.2.1. came up. So I desinstalled 2.2.1 and compiled gtk-2.2.4. Gtk as well as gimp dont show _any_ fonts ! The graphic frontend is on the other hand OK. Only that no text at all shows up ! Gtk 2.2.1 and 2.2.2, which I also tryed to compile, gave the same negative results I am using XF86-4.3, and freetype fonts. All KDE applications are working smootly, no fonts errors at all. They use true types. The Xfs server is on. Pango was compiled with ft2 support. No error messages. My system is Linux From Scratch 4.1, the kernel is 2.4.20 I went already through Google and other archives withouth results. Can someone please give me a hint ? Perhaps someone has experienced similar problems ? TIA Beatriz ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
