GIMP 2.9.1 (current experimental builds) handle 16/32 bit images just fine. Feel free to download from my website as it comes with UFRaw included. In any case, you have not provided the RAW CR2 file and so it's hard to see what is happening here. When you say that your CR2 image is "tack" sharp, y

Okay, when I hold down my mouse and keep moving it nothing shows until I stop pressing or do nothing for 2 seconds. This has never happened to be before in gimp. I have no issues in Krita/other paint programs on Linux or Photoshop 6 with wine. None of my other programs are acting up at all. I have
