[Gimp-user] Keyboard Shortcuts Toolbox for Gimp that can Follow the Mouse Pointer
Hi I did find a Cool Keyboard Shortcuts Toolbox that can Follow the Mouse Pointer. You can Hide the Toolbox to one icon or it can follow the Mouse Pointer. Click it with your middle Mouse Button to Show or Hide the Toolbox, so that you have always the Toolbox near to your work area. You can save time for example to Paint Stroke Lines with one single Mouse, stylus pen or touch Click. Re: [Gimp-user] Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working In Non-English Keyboard Layout
Hi! I think you have been hitting a know bug of GTK+. It is fixed with recent development in GTK+ but our official builds likely don't ship the fix since we are still waiting for a stable version of GTK+2 with it. See: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=769550 I don't know about your "custom build" and if it actually ships the fix (hence "glitches"?). I don't know the website you are telling about, and maybe it is a proper and clean GIMP. Just be careful where you download GIMP though. There are a few good third-party builds, but also many which embeds ads or even malware. Have fun! CORRECTION: nope, still not working. It works at first when I start the application, but after switching the layout a few times, it no longer does. I also did get to reassigning the shortcuts to the Non-English layout, but that didn't help either. -- Syros (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list

Re: [Gimp-user] keyboard shortcuts for 50% view, etc
Thanks for the verification. > Bug? Shift+2 == @, but you'd think that all keyboard shortcuts > should use the actual scan code for the key(s) and not its logical > input value. I say bug because it is, according to the Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts menu/ +View dialog, already assigned. How the mapping is done would depend on where in the stack one did it. I could see a case for doing it either way. Gimp has an interesting issue for shortcuts, I think (I'm not familiar with the code) Chars/keycodes are not mapped the same all the time. You want normal characters, such as @, when entering text; but the rest of the time you want it to be a shortcut. Which means it has to be mapped in two different ways depending on the state. It obviously does it correctly / according to the docs/interface for some characters, but not others. >> I have not been able to get the keyboard shortcuts for < 100% view >> (2, etc.) to work since as long as I can remember. I get the same behavior, running GIMP 2.8.10 on Win32 XP. (Though in my case I generally zoom via mousewheel not keyboard so I wouldn't have noticed.) Bug? Shift+2 == @, but you'd think that all keyboard shortcuts should use the actual scan code for the key(s) and not its logical input value. -- Stratadrake strata_ran...@hotmail.com Numbers may not lie, but neither do they tell the whole truth. > Date: Sun, 25 May 2014 20:17:28 -0600 > From: g...@dreamchaser.org > To: gimp-user-list@gnome.org > Subject: [Gimp-user] keyboard shortcuts for 50% view, etc > > I have not been able to get the keyboard shortcuts for < 100% view > (2, etc.) to work since as long as I can remember. > The ones for 100% and greater ('1', '2', etc.) seem to work fine. > > If I activate the shortcut key editing dialog and try to set the shortcut > manually, e.g. 2 for 50%, > instead of displaying 2 it displays "@" (which is the normal character > for 2 on my keyboard) and it works fine. > > Does anyone else have the same issue? > > Is there something I am missing, or are the shortcuts simply not working > in my (fbsd) build? > > Gary > ___ > gimp-user-list mailing list > List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org > List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list > List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
[Gimp-user] keyboard shortcuts for 50% view, etc
I have not been able to get the keyboard shortcuts for < 100% view (2, etc.) to work since as long as I can remember. The ones for 100% and greater ('1', '2', etc.) seem to work fine. If I activate the shortcut key editing dialog and try to set the shortcut manually, e.g. 2 for 50%, instead of displaying 2 it displays "@" (which is the normal character for 2 on my keyboard) and it works fine. Does anyone else have the same issue? Is there something I am missing, or are the shortcuts simply not working in my (fbsd) build?
