You can attend any sub-round from round 1A, 1B and 1C. If you have not attended 1A you can always try your luck with the next two sub-rounds. Code jam only restricts users who have already gone through an earlier sub-round not to attempt later sub-rounds e.g. all the round 1A winners can't

There's no secret to it really; they really do find it that easy. A good analogy would be trying to write an essay in a different language to your first language. There are two problems here; firstly, you have to *solve the problem* - that means, decide exactly what you want to write.
