Heard music buried in the noise at tune in.
Eventually at 0941 a male begins talking in Portuguese.
Briefly more music, then the announcer has a
conversation with a female on the telephone. Signal is
a poor quality, but that's better than
folks,
I am told that this Brazilian on 5940 is Voz
Missionaria instead of Guaruja Paulista.
I didn't hear an ID, so please choose which you wish to
use. I will try and get a
better ID in the future.

Signal went off the air abruptly at 1057, but came back
20 seconds later. At 1058 music and female
Japan, 6115, Radio Nikkei2,(pres) 1005-1015 Noted a
program of steady music. Looked for a parallel signal.
There was music on 3925 KHz where R. Nikkei1 is
situated, but could not tell if Nikkei2 and Nikkei1
were parallel because the signal on 6115 KHz was too
weak to hear clearly. While Nikkei1

Radio Nikkei, Japan. Noted same station on 9595 this

As I was watching the evening news on TV today, I
wondered about the Volcano in Iceland. Have
you heard someone mention what effect the smoke and ash
in the air will have on reception when
it spreads over Europe? I was thinking that it might
have effect on line of sight

very weak signal here which was
just off freq enough to be able to hear it under
Brazil. Noted a female in Spanish language
comments. Terrible noise on this freq anyway, but at
1028 something starts which covers
Santa Cruz pretty well.
Portugal, (relay/pres), 15425, BBC, 1200-1230 Noted
World news in English. Following the news, an ID
presented followed
by more news and reports about the earth quake in
Chile. Both EIBI and AOKI list French for this period
on this freq.
At 1229 plenty of promos and ID's for BBC, then at 1230
United States, 9505, Voice of America, 1240-1320,
Seemed like a news program with all individuals
speaking French. On the 1300 hour, noted a partial ID
coming from Washington DC ...

Looking at the DX Edge, Florida and Diego Garcia are
sharing the grey line at this time.
As I listen to the signal from Diego Garcia,
Correct my last logging to read almost sharing the
greyline instead of Sharing the Greyline.
