Where do you get these from? I picked up a bunch of 2-3 GB drives on eBay
for about 5 bucks each, and these work great for running a server.

I use FreeBSD too and thanks that did the trick. Would this cause
issues on Linux? If not then it seams prudent to submit that to the
author so he can make the change.

I don't mean to turn this into a support thread for rrdtool, but it's
not outputting any html pages. I am getting the png's in the desination
html folder, but no html. When I run it I just get this:
# ./cs_stats.sh
491x250
491x250
491x250
491x250
491x250
#
Is that correct?

Hi Everyone;
For all
Classic example of one person ruining it all - The server wasn't on a daemon
and someone managed to turn it off. The server is now running on a daemon,
and should come back online anytime someone tries to turn it off.
Sorry bout that;

But wouldn't the performance of such old drives have a negative impact on
server performance?

For a single server the performance impact wouldn't be that bad at all.
Maps may take slightly longer to load (I'd be surprised if anyone could tell
the difference) but after that the only disk activity is writing the logs.

Now that I seen it works, is this somehow better than a program like
