Experiencing the same here, i've only seen it on MvM though, but it
happens once every 2-3 days.

Err, map changing works just fine for me. Besides, the problem is that the
server is dictating when that restart happens.

Only gain is the free of memory. I have 2 machine from which 2 servers
restart daily to free memory. The other, i never restart the gameservers
on it unless i have to. I haven't seen any performance changes to the
way or the other between the restarted servers and non restarted ones.
The problem just needs to be addressed, point blank. It is utterly
ridiculous that some of these problems have persisted for so long.

Only servers I restart every couple of days is windows as it seems they
lose connection to valve and need to be restarted. My linux servers I
only restart when there is an update.

Thats because we're all on 'valve time' my friend. It took them years to fix
