Hi
We plan to upgrade our z/800 C01 to a z9 machine.
We have currently about 130 Mips and we would need a double capacity.
Some questions:
- one processor or two ?
- we heard that the ICF now a unique processor or can be shared with a
general processor , but
not with IFL. If it is in non
MFNetDisk FastSync mode is ready. New documentation.
OK,
I suppose that now is the time to distribute my new feature FastSync.
I also add more pages to my documentation and more data about the
FastSync and the risks and the operations.
The next step will be to add support to some of the Shark
Hello list,
I have an (awfully) basic question about ISMF: when defining SMS
constructs (e.g. mgntclas) I can enter numbers of a blank. I cannot
find anywhere what the meaning of the blank value is.
Where can I find what the system does, when I leave blank fields like:

Jacky,
There are two main ways to tackle this situation, and likely you will need to
do both.
1. The VTS is low on scratch volumes. The way DFSMSrmm handles this
CBR3660A wto is to trigger a procedure for running expiration processing.
Usually this is enough to return some volumes to scratch
Hi,
Years ago, at another shop, I used a little app to redirect TCP traffic

The only other area I might also consider is your backend tapes for the VTS

If you play around with this you could discover that a blank entry can
only be used in a very specific configuration. And I always do recommend
anyone with a question first start by playing with a construct (not the
production ones of course) and see what it does.
For example if you

Rick makes a good point. Once the great 1.9 divide has been crossed, we've

when templates had to be applied to the data base itself, lower releases
always tolerated them. I know everyone does migration differently, but we

All they can do is report on compliance based on SME recommendations.

Anything else is a conflict of duty.

MVS-recognized (AKA legal) disablement means that you have a CPU lock, a
spin lock, or a super bit (bits in PSASUPER).
Since no spin locks are programming interfaces, nor is PSASUPER, that
basically leaves the CPU lock for you.
