??? Snipped I would be 99.9% certain that they have no effect on run-time performance, except that LET might lead to S0C1s and such. They have a HUGE effect on compiler performance. XREF may double the amount of output produced, and that will double the EXCPs, and certainly increase the CPU cycles.
