I use to have a job where I could monitor IBM-Main during the work day so

One way to avoid a wait state because the IPLTEXT is not in sync is to ALWAYS
write the IPLTEXT when you spin a new SYSRES volume - not just when there is

Is the tool suitable for configuration without logrec logstream?
As supplied, it is only with logstream. You can add a new option in the

I see that FLAG(PAGE0) found the unintended instruction right
away. It took me a few minutes to go over the new code to find
out why it wasn't working as expected.
But as it turns out, the DCBE= parm on the DCB is pretty
much required, even if you use a dummy address. The
invocation of that parm will set a couple of bits in the
DCB that are required for processing.
Specifying a dummy address for DCBE= (like DCBE=*-*) on the DCB
