thanks to all who replied to my query. I agree about z/VM as supervisor,
especially in a shop like ours where 40-50 Linux/Unix could be moved to the big
iron. As ROT I knew that from 15-20 server on, z/VM is much better in terms of
TOC and administration.

COPYDUMP to accomplish the second goal, but the
question here is why is IEBGENER not able to handle a
file whose BLKSIZE has been system determined.

we have the same environment and we're going to
migrate in two weeks time. So far we didn't experience
any major problem for Adabas on the new z/OS, but I'll
