The USER= on the jobcard was not a real ID or alias. But when a control
block in LE was damaged, the HLQ for the dataset LE wanted to create the
dump it
Little did I realize I still had the ability to have fun. I recently
(inadvertently) caused a problem in JES2. IBM took the following APAR for fin.
It happened when I was bouncing JES2 to validate and put in place new JES2
parms and had a error on a comment line. I issued CANCEL and JES2

With vsam all messages that go to SYSPRINT could help in identifying your
issue. It maybe that you did not do an ALLOC DD(VSAMKSDS) or freed

I have a project to review all the virtual tapes in the VTS and see which
tape datasets could go on dasd.
I am using CA1 to get the LRECL, BLKSIZE and BLKCNT to determine how many
bytes are on the tape. Then dividing that by the number of bytes per track
to get a rough estimate.

So, if I understand your requirements, it looks like you are creating a
tapeless backup solution to your servers from the Mainframe DFDSS dumps.
The amount of data will be between 2-27GB with 700GB total possible weekly.
How are you creating your DFDSS dumps? Do you use BLKSIZE=32760 on the
1001 - 1100 of 1752 matches
