Yesterday evening SMTP delivery stopped due to a recursive mail to a list
(there was an alias with 25 names in the addresses). The SMTP task hung up.
Normally the next queue run or the next delivery start another SMTP process
and things will go on.

Within the smtp service I have it setup to relay for addresses and within my

Now it always fails to log me on, so I check the logs and find that imail is

Absolutely right. What's even worse is trying to do i/o with files over a
network. The av program will consume mass amounts of resources scanning
every file. For my own personal setup I only leave on my email/internet av
on my local desktop. I have my av software updating its' signature

services' and setting up a good pagefile on a separate drive. Just some
suggestions that might help with i/o - use at your own risk of course ;-)

When you select the Users folder for your domain in IMail Administrator
there is a button named Find Orphans.
I think you are talking about orphaned user mailboxes -- the user is
gone from the user database but their mailbox directory and files still
exist.

Very solid now, but what's really important is...they FINALLY have SSL working.
FWIW, the most important two things that make web messaging work under heavy load:
1 Separate mailboxes from spool on different physical raid channels.
2 Keep the mailboxes and spool directories defragged.

It sounds like the IMail upgrade overwrote your Official Host Name -- we've
seen that happen in a small percentage of IMail upgrades.
Since upgrading to 7.1x I have not had to reboot our server in the
past 3 weeks. It was an everyday event before but it's running
