Here in Sathish jis pictures I think the number of stamens are 4
Hence I say it is *L. perennis*
We face leaches daily during the monsoon and pay no attention at all.
It sucks the blood and drops off by itself. Sometimes 5 to 6 every
day. It does not cause any harm except a little loss of blood.

Presented below is the key to identification of Boerhavia from FOC:
Leaf margin with unicellular hairs; perianth
