The closer you get to the ground the more directional a wire will be. I
know when my Eastern beverage was 4 feet off the ground, it was more
directional on many frequencies than it is now at 10-12 feet off the
ground. But it seems to be more directional at the lower end of the band
than it used to

Perhaps your country 1600 is KLGA, but I don't get them often here so am

Curious about the checkered reputation of the SRF-M85V among IRCA
Ultralight radio DXers, I decided to perform a quick and dirty RF alignment

my unit, to see if I could squeeze some more performance out of the AM-FM
stereo armband Walkman.
The unit has some
KAZ replies, It seems Gil saved some of my BOG comments to him from last
year, and everything I said then still applies now.
My shorter northern BOG is about 155 ft at 350 degrees and by itself is a
reasonable antenna on the high end, with the beam being a bit too broad for
my tastes on the

With the bev as you know, anything is possible. I remember catching WTRB
1570 TN a few years back. Since I got the bev back up I am sitting on a
bunch of more interesting channels again.
