has been fulfilled!! This morning at 0407 ESTI logged Station # 300 in
exactly 30 days from the start of this mission. # 300 was 730 WLIL Lenoir
City TENN.

As many of you know, the WDMV call letters stand for DelMarVa, the peninsula on
which the calls were originally used - in Pocomoke City on 540 kHz.
Walkersville is near Frederick, MD, almost 200 miles from DelMarVa. One would
think they would change the call letters. :-)

Had a chance to play with this a bit this evening. Some comments first
- my unit has a 90-minute auto-shut-off, not 60 as noted in the 2007
Shootout. Also, the FM selectivity in a strong signal area such as this
is about what I'd have expected - it's pretty weak. Strong locals show
up 20 mHz
Are you using Spectravue, Winrad or something else to decode the audio?
Spectravue. The audio output goes through an M-Audio card to a Mackie
mixer. Then to either stereo speakers or headphones. Unfortunately I can't
use the Timewave DSP processor as it isn't really stereo-capable.

No wonder KOHI is pretty much back to normal in signal hee on the coast,
S9+5 or so. As far as ground rods/copper pipe, I bury min completelely
out of sight. What they cannot see, they cannot steal. It works out
quite nicely.

KDUN has been off/on/off/on a lot through the years. Back in the days of
KRAF 1470, they were quite stable. Reedsport is not a big town. Maybe
5,000 and running a 50 KWer probably is not all that inexpensive. Plus I
believe there are some FMers in the area, let alone Coos Bay/North Bend
stations
