Hi Nick,
That alternative Perseus software we discussed earlier reads out carrier
measurements to four decimal places. I don't remember the exact, claimed
accuracy at the moment, but I think it was 0.2 Hz. (after auto-calibration
to a station >1000 kHz with a known accurate offset).
(freq data from Aug. 2011). I've no idea if it's them, but
all other possible targets for 1566 are still in daylight.
I should probably join the Yahoo group or forum that specializes in
MWoffsets if I want to go chasing hets in lieu of DX with actual audio :^)

to disappear or be "filtered out". The noise
blanker in Perseus works well and has two effective blanking widths, but I
rarely turn it on. The noise reduction control is used more often, but I
know I haven't tried it on Taiwan 738.

Not too much to report from here for Friday the 11th. About half the usual 9
kHz splits were found in audio, and just a smattering of hets, too. The
surprise powerhouse was 657 North Korea.
I monitored from 1220 to 1340 via Perseus recordings and noted the
following:
-
I already have reservations for DXing at Grayland Beach State Park for four
nights, Oct. 11-14, so I'll be unavailable on the 3rd.
BTW, do you and your wife still plan to visit Seattle sometime this autumn?
Gary and I would enjoy seeing you again over coffee!

quality is so scratchy and splattered it is hard to say for sure.

r PAL the only possibility I see is DYMP in Palo, Philippines,
listed as variable on 1567 kHz.
I suppose it *is* a possibility, given that I am likely hearing DXADD Marawi
City on 1322 kHz.
