A DX Test from WNDB-1150 Daytona Beach, FL will be conducted on Saturday
Morning December 7, 2013 beginning at 1:00 AM ELT. The programing will consist
of voice announcements alternating with Morse code ID’s at 5WPM. the test
will be conducted using the stations 1000 watt non-directional
, but at least I can switch the modem off. Not what I had

No charge for the modem. Only if I bought one with a battery backup for $40. I
wonder if they make a dual modem that has no noise. I don't know if a phone
modem can be purchased. I have never seen one, just the internet modems.

We listened to the station during the 2007 Flagstaff Convention. There
were two such stations on the X Band in Flagstaff at that time. The
stations were not Part 15. Both had at least 10 watts and maybe more.
Both covered the city quite well on the car radios.

For many years I tried for 4KZ without any luck, until a typoon came
through some years back and distroyed part of the 4KZ tx site. They then
started to operate ND and 4KZ became fairly common along with 2PM. I
have never logged 3GG so far, but they have a null towards us.

KMON 560 is solid on 560 tonight totally domnating the frequency here on
the OR Coast. I would guess KMON is 5 KW ND. If anyone needs them, give

Through the years I tried all sorts of indoor loops, not the KIWA one,
but others. I have never found any indoor antennas that would even come
close to one of the EWEs or Beverages. The same is true with a good
outdoor TV/FM Yagi. Nothing inside works near as well.

to phone a couple. At one time I had a complete set of all of the

This station has rich history. I QSL'd them back when they were the
Gilbert Ellice Islands on 844 kHz, then later on 846 kHz as Radio
Kiribati. It used to be a common visitor here. I have not tried for them

I heard it last night pretty well for a while, but later at 0504 EST,
CHHA Toronto took over the frequency with O Canada, followed by SS
programming, then by 0530 it was Caribbean Beacon again.

lot of 100-500 watt Australians and seven 50 watt Lighthouse stations
from Japan and a 1 KWer from Taiwan on 1700. The US TIS stations were
in VA, NY, PA, MI, IL,and TX. If the frequency is fairly clear, I never
know what might pop in.

they co-located KPOJ 620 there. KPOJ was 5/5 KW, but using the short
1190 towers, the signal was poor. That is why I presume they boosted to
25/10. I am glad KEX did drop the IBOC.
