I did a first Jini test with the Linux Jdk1.2-pre1, worked out of the box. Linux 2.2.2 client, LUS on NT-Server, Service on NT-Server && ActivationService on Linux 2.2.2 registered on NT. Didn't compile anything just mounted the NTFS drives and run the classes compiled under NT (WORA) with Linux.

You should get away by installing the XFree 3.3.3.1 shared libraries somewhere, and hacking LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the Java wrapper scripts. Note that the accelleration is done at the server side, not at the client side, so performance-wise it shouldn't matter much which shared libraries your Java pro
