I've been to the jaws users website and tried to download the ares program
and it told me when I tried to open it that there is a Trojan horse in there
and said it installed but it didn't david is my computer being too

I'm giving Thunderbird 2.0 a shot. It seems to work quite well with JAWS

The Language Detection option should be there in JAWS 9 just as Artur pointed
out. It is under reading options. I find it buy pressing INSERT V (While
focused on Microsoft Word 2007 or 2003) and then I type l a n quickly and land

No the x western issue is still there. That is part of the reason I quit
using it. I have taken over the scripts for it though and as soon as time
permits I will take a look at that annoying problem and see if there is a

Yep, a lot of programs are hit or miss when it comes to Java and being
accessible or not. Even the access bridge, which I think got messed up or
accidentally uninstalled on me, doesn't make everything work, and I've found
that I can't use the Jaws cursor in Java programs.

I heard that apparent java access bridge inadequacy is because of the screen
readers, not the access bridge itself. I've seen it in more than one place,
and not on the java web site, so I tend to believe it. Aledgedly, the
screen reader companies haven't taken full advantage of the dll that

1. In some messages, JAWS indicates that it couldn't find end of
