The last few times I've installed Dectalk Express, I've needed to install no related software. There is no Dectalk software on my Win 7 machine, and the synthesizer works fine. Once you have the connector, just plug it in. then go to the JAWS synthesizer dialog to have it recognized. The

Lenny, If he was running jaws 16, 17 or have openbook installed, That would never happen, like you say, automatically. Because the upgrade would only get to about 25% complete and you would have to cancel the install, or continue and remove the FS programs.
