I wouldn't worry too much about the recovery disk as it's not going to
be used that much if at all. Your system drive (the C drive) is the one
that should be kept defragmented.

Hi all. I'm considering defragging my hard drive, but I had a strange issue
that I'm wondering about. When I do it, and hit theanalyze button I'm told
that this drive doesn't need to be defragged. I have never defragged my
hardrive, so I was wondering why I was getting this message. Should

Solid state drives don't function like platter based drives and arn't really
subject to the effects of fragmentation.

I always went for the presumption that if the defragmenter tells you that
this volume doesn't require defragmenting... or whatever, then don't do
it, otherwise you'll cause
