To save power on my Dell laptop I changed the settings so
that the screen will go off after 10 minutes. Now it seems

speak. Reading at the top of the page with the JAWS cursor we find

I've been using FireFox with WebVisum and it works quite well. I've been

It can't be the screen power setting that stops jaws from working, as I
always set mine to go off after 2 minutes on all computers I use with
jaws.
However, your laptop's hard drive may be set to hibernate or go to sleep
after x minutes, which probably is the cause.
