Hi listers
Anyone who know a program that will count down by second, or minut, and of
cource it works wel with Jaws.?
I'm about to do some activity for my student, and I want them to do something
in a spasific time, so I need this program.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Is it compatible with Jaws 13? I prefer not to upgrade to 14. When I did, I
had to use Magic 12 which was more difficult for me to handle than Magic 11
so I dropped back to 13 where I'm quite happy because I don't use all the
features that most of you use. Does I E 10 download properly with Jaws
Hello,
I can not help you with a timer program, but Maxiaide.com has different
talking timers you can order.
I have a nice talking timer as big as a old style beeper with a clip in the
back that opens and the timer can stand upright that works great.

As far as memory for the virtual machine, since XP is a 32 bit OS, it
should be able to support up to 4GB of memory. So you could set the memory
to around 4,000. The message about JAWS not authorized in a terminal
session would mean that JAWS thinks you are connecting to a different
Ok, I'll install 15 and try it out. I'm relieved to have someone else
describe the issues I've been having- including the second one you mentioned
about JAWS14 not correctly focusing on links. Happens to me all the time :(
Thanks much.

Hi.
Do you have maximized the browser window, not even by the specific
situation, but at startup of Internet Explorer?

I've been a JAWS user since version 5.0 came out, and have license for

downloaded version 14.0.6005 build for 64-bit systems as a 40 minute

Another issue can be if there were a few pop-ups along the way when the page
loaded. If so, you might have to hit the back command a couple times for it
to go back to the previous page.

Chela, try this. Go to the FS site, and download jaws 14 again, but this
time save the exe to wherever your downloads are saved. In other words,
while it downloads, it doesn't install. it saves to wherever your download
files save. Now, make sure that whatever you have installed in your

Your best bet, I think, is to totally remove JAWS14, before reinstalling
it. (Download first; reinstall after.) Remember that JAWS takes quite a
while to load, so don't use NVDA for the JAWS reinstall.

I found this program on the jaws programs page and decided to give it a try. I

documentation but it does not describe what to do precisely.

Only load NVDA during the JAWS installation process if JAWS doesn't

My suggestion is this;
1. uninstall jaws 14.
2. delete the freedom scientific folder that is in all programs.
3. If in windows 7 do you have more than one user, you should delete the
setting configuration stored in c:\users\YourUser\app\freedom
4. Reinstall jaws 14 of 64 bits.

No, the registry, doesn't store files. Registry just indicate keys for
windows. For example, if we have installed jaws in C:\All

program. Of course, registry indicate a lot of things, keys, paths, and sub
keys for dll

delete this folder after you uninstalled jaws, and after you delete freedom in
all programs folder.
