Hi Mike,
Well, she is more important than an FS Cast!

Thanks for the info!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for reminding my old brain about the Control+insert+6 on the numbers
row.
I really don't use the Jaws settings center that much.
So, I had forgotten that short cut keystroke.
You should have written it down for me yesterday!Smiles...

Hi Arianna,
You didn't say which version of Windows you are using,
but typically, if a program shows up in the Startup folder of the Start
Menu, it is a shortcut to that program.
If this is the case, with the shortcut selected, you would press the
applications key, and look for Delete.
HTH,
Yes, it happens frequently with my work computer, but not with my home
computer. I cannot find any consistent reason for it.

I, anyways have only 3 tabs checked,
So either option would work for me.
But, thanks for bringing those 2 options to view.

Honestly I'm not sure that you can change it at the log on screen. The
reason is you really don't have anything more than a very limited set of
options at that point, log on, shutdown ETC.

Hi, Rick & Adrian, and Mike.
I shut off Jaws and then restart Jaws to get Jaws to correctly read the

I too have some folders with hundreds of items in them.
This fixes the problem every time and Jaws reads the number of items

Arianna,
I also have Win7 and I'm running JAWS 16 and 17.
If I understand the problem correctly, you need to remove the application from
MSConfig, where all the applications appear that open when your system reboots.
I'll copy the instructions that have worked for me, but I'll add a caveat.
Thanks home skillet!
