Jim: I am not sure if I am wording this question clearly, but is there a way I can get Microsoft Word under Office 2016 to look and act like Microsoft Word in Office 2010? I'm especially interested in being able to access various ribbon options the way I always have in Office 2010. Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 365 subscription with Jaws 17
You use your Microsoft account email and password, and you can use all of the Microsoft aliases email and the same Microsoft password for them to sign into all computers and devices using Office 365. You decide what you want to back-up and store on OneDrive. I was pleasantly surprised that the Microsoft store, Office.com web site, and the downloading and installing of Office 365 was totally accessible. There is a learning curve of course, especially for a first time user of outlook like myself. I am totally happy with all the programs I have tried so far with Jaws 17 on both my W-10 desktop and W-10 laptop. Now doing a manual set up for my Pop3 account in outlook was a little tricky, but after a phone call to my IP Provider, I typed in the correct information and all worked fantastically. Thanks for all the members who have helped me with outlook, especially Mr. Ed, I appreciate it very much. Re: [JAWS-Users] Youtube
that's because the author has chosen to show more than one ad. some ads are skippable, some are not. On 5/14/2016 11:42 AM, Paul wrote: Not to be contentious, but this has never worked for me. Re: [JAWS-Users] Reading PDF in inaccessible Fox It reader on a PC withJAWS
You are correct, FoxIt is not accessible using a screen reader. If Jaws cannot read the screen aloud, it will not display the screen information on a Braille display. Fox It reader seems to be completely inaccessible to JAWS for reading PDF documents. My company forces us to open certain internal PDF's in Fox IT reader. JAWS does not even access the menu much less read and navigate anything in the PDF. Has anyone using JAWS hooked a Braille display to the computer and been able to navigate and read the PDF in Fox IT with JAWS running on the PC? Re: [JAWS-Users] Youtube
Holger, I don't know if youtube recently improved this, biut if you tab to the video controls, there is usually a "skip ad" button, which JAWS will read. I am using JFW 14 and Windows 7. This must be fairly recent, as I was unable to find the skip ad button as recently as two months ago. Good luck. Paul -- On 5/14/2016 7:25 AM, Holger Fiallo wrote: How do we skip ads in PC? Re: [JAWS-Users] Youtube
additionally, there are instances where skipping ads will not skip. this depends on if the author has allowed skipping of ads. so if it doesn't skip an ad, there's nothing you can do. just let it play. Re: [JAWS-Users] how to stop drop box
Drop box traditionally puts an entry in your startup folder on the start menu. If you can navigate to that location all you would need to do is delete the shortcut. If you need further directions get back along with the version of windows you are currently running. -Original Message- From: Lenny McHugh Sent: Friday, May 13, 2016 10:16 PM To: JFW List Subject: [JAWS-Users] how to stop drop box Some time back I installed drop box. Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 365 subscription with Jaws 17
Hi Jim, Thank you for providing the information on Office365 as well as your experiences with it. Keep us posted on the accessibility of setting up the various aspects of your account on the computer and any mobile devices you are using. Do you know if you have to have the same e-mail account associated with all 5 computer installations and the various mobile devices? Are you limited to only storing your data in their cloud, or can you limit the cloud storage to only the files that you want to share between devices, and then store the rest of your files on your local computer? I took the full plunge! I purchased the full Office 365 monthly subscription for the $9.99 per month. I wanted to let all you know that the Microsoft store is totally accessible with Jaws 17. Very easy to use. After buying the subscription, I went to Office.com, which is also totally accessible, and downloaded the full Office 365 suit. I went to a page on the same sight under my account, I added a second computer, and sent an invite to my laptop computer. I then opened that email on the laptop, followed the invitation link to download Office 365 to the laptop, then I installed it on the laptop. All went very smoothly with Jaws 17.
