[JAWS-Users] Skype 8 for desktop answering incoming call?

2018-07-17 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
Hello list,

So, I upgraded Skype for desktop on a laptop to try to get used to it before
MS kills Skype classic in September. I came across some short cut keys from:
https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12025/what-are-hotkeys-and-how-do-i-use-t
hem-in-skype

What I’m not finding is the hotkey to answer an incoming call. I can’t
believe that there isn’t one for such a basic function, but it’s not listed
in the table. Start a call, hang up, mute, that’s all fine, but nothing for
answering a call. Am I missing something or is this really not included as a
shortcut key?

Thanks,

Cristobal

unlabeled
form regions is no longer announced as you navigate using the ARROW keys.
. The start and end announcements for document and application regions are

I've got a couple of business premium accounts which allow for 50 GB of mail
storage and 1 tb of online OneDrive storage. You can download Office on to
five devices, but I own my own copies of Office 2016, so I choose not to do
so. $84 for the entire year for one premium email address.

is a subscription-based service. For multiple licenses, I think you'll need
to get at least the home/business version. As far as I know there are three

Re: [JAWS-Users] Filling out a Form from a PDF File

2018-07-17 Thread JM Casey
You should be able to do this using Acrobat. If it doesn't work, it's likely
that the form is not configured correctly by the person(s) who created it.
You'd likely have to take it up with them, in that case. In my experience,
most government-related forms in Canada and the US are perfectly accessible,
but mileage with other things may vary.

If that doens not work.
Do alt f t for options.
Then hit control tab until you hear display. Tab to, or hit alt m for

issue.
If you can get some help, try it without JAWS running.
There were some issues with Excel a while ago with JAWS 2018 which have been
fixed, not sure if they effect JAWS 18 or not but this would be a good way to
try to find out initially.

No idea really. But maybe try doing a repair of your office instalation from
within control panel. It does seem to fix some problems related to corruption
of Office. Just let the repair run while you do other things; it can take
several minutes. If it doesn't fix the problem, try searching around web forums
for others who have had similar issues. Bleeping Computer is a good one. There
are Microsoft Support forums as well.

Afternoon all.

Using JAWS 2018, Word 13 and Windows 10 on a Dell laptop, I am having a really
odd problem.

When I go to open Word 13, I get several strange messages. The first one says
that I do not have sufficient memory or disk space to perform the requested
operation. When I press enter on the “okay” button, wordword opens a blank
document. Another time, after attempting to open word 13, I got a message that
there are too many fonts to open the document.

Has anyone ever gotten these messages, and if so, what was the solution, if
there is one? Thanks in advance.

Jerry

Afternoon all.

I just downloaded several zipped files for braille lessons. However, when I
went to the context menu i.e. Shift F10, there was no option for unzipping the
file. I am using JAWS 2018 and Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. Any
thoughts/ideas/suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

Sure I’d like something I did on the help list, but I’m pretty sure the zip
that I did is the one that includes the whole tutorial.

This is a tutorial originally written by David More on how to use Edge with
NVDA and Narrator, I just modified it to include usage with jaws. I tested
it and it works according to the tutorial. This is a second post of it
because I didn’t do it correctly the first time!
