plus letter R for run and type in jaws17 and press enter and jaws may come
back up. Or narrator comes up with the windows enter key.

David and list, I have been using the JAWS 18 beta for 4 weeks. Very
snappy.
I urge anyone planning to use the version 18, see the two freedom scientific
podcasts with Jonathan Mosan and Eric Damerie. You can hear about the new

Steven, surprisingly, the default is to be off. So I am glad to have found
this info as well.
When you are in the "read messages automatically" control to check or
uncheck, if you tab, Jaws gives you information on the control and the
default status.

Norma, to create a rule, while in the "in box" and on a message, I press the
application key and down arrow to rules. This puts me in the dialogue box
with a number of controls that deal with various parameters to make the rule
which I get to by tabbing through the dialogue box.
Hope this works
In the volume controls, have you tried checking the Jaws mute buttonwithc
the space bar and be sure the box is checked?
Sounds like that is the problem or it could be the volume control for jaws
is down to lowest setting. A couple of page up commands on the Jaws volume
control should be tried.

List, we have been traveling this past month and so not following technology
items.
Has the long awaited one year anniversary update for windows 10 been
announced? If so, how well does it work with Jaws 17? How do I get the
download?
Thank you and happy Labor Day.

Outlook 10 works very nicely with current release of Jaws.
I loved Outlook express but quit using it years ago. I enjoy the control
over things with outlook 10. Suspect same would be for newer versions of
outlook. I went from Outlook 10 from outlook 2003 a few years ago. I also

One thing that has happened with my internet provider is that now they
require me, using outlook 2010 to use IMAP for E mail. It works well, but
