I can copy and paste the steps from that page, if you want, but it's going to be difficult to find the buttons if you're not able to understand them. I mean, it is lucky it's Spanish then or not Chinese, or, indeed, Indonesian, so you could probably do it. However, I think clearing your cookies should (probably?) set your account language to match your system language. Well, anyway, here is what it says (applies to desktop web): If you are logged into your account - Click on the circular Profile icon at the top right of any page, and select Settings - On the next page, under the General tab, click edit next to your current language - From the dropdown menu on the next page, select the language of your choice, and click the red Save button If you are not logged into your account You will see a dropdown menu on the top right of any page listing the different available languages. Changing the language in this dropdown *will not* change the language of your actual Meetup account. You will have to log in and follow the steps above in order to change your account's language settings on the desktop website. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Justin Williams Sent: April 5, 2018 3:27 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] language I can't read the page, maybe someone can do itelse ccan do it. Well, I found this, using google. https://www.meetup.com/help/customer/portal/articles/2128872-changing-the-la nguage-on-your-meetup-account/?urlkey=help=help&__topic_subdomain=1 Read the instructions, and follow the steps. Re: [JAWS-Users] language packs for office 2013
hello, even i wanted the additional language pack so when i contacted the support team, one of their representative gave me one link to download but after installing the same, i was facing the same problem as described. pressing f7 i was getting the message that spelling check is complete ok button despite typing the wrong words in my additional language i.e. Hindi. so once again i established the connection with the support team and this time, one of their technical expert remotely handled my pc and finally installed the required files. though even she took an hours time to work on my PC but its now working fine. Hi Karryann, You might want to have a look at what language his Microsoft Word is set to. It may be set to Spanish and he doesn't know it. Go into the tools menu, then, I believe it's in the options, but I'm not entirely sure of that, In any case, make sure that you are dealing with a particular language with Word. Re: [JAWS-Users] Language Question
Hello Kerry, If you navigate into the global voices dialog accessed from the global voices choice in the options menu there is a radio button for modifying default and for application. If Word is open then navigate directly from the Word window to the JAWS window. Select the modify application radio button. There is a restore to factory button in the dialog box that you can get to by using tab key. Executing the restore to factory button should bring application settings back to what they were when JAWS was first installed. You might also use it with the modify default radio button active. I don't know if this will resolve the problem but you might want to give it a try. You might also want to check the language being used in word. The language settings are in the tools menu in word 2003. I am not at a computer with Word 2003 on it, but there is a dialog box that will result from a menu choice dealing with language settings in that menu. You can check to make sure that English is the default. In word 2007 there is a set language button on the lower part of the ribbon in the review tab. If you execute that button there is a button in the resultant dialog for choosing default language. Take care. For some reason, his JFW switches to Castilian Spanish whenever he enters Microsoft word. I've tried changing the synthesiser language with the insert control+l ke stroke. I've tried turning off language detection. I know it's probably something very straightforward, but I just can't seem to work it out. Any thoughts?
