I seem to experience a kernel crash (or application crash in early
moments of this bug) due to Hyper-V ballooning (or at least dynamic
memory). I am using Xenial on Hyper-V on Windows Server 2012 64bit. I
started using dynamic memory (1024 Kb start memory, allowed growing to
3072 Kb). Apparently

push out firmware more in sync with kernel support.

@tiJoe You'll get that error if the kernel package came from kernel-ppa
mainline (or was custom built, etc.), rather than an official ubuntu
kernel package. I'm guessing yours came from http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.3.5-wily/, which would explain the message.

I'm sorry but in my case does not work. I tried with kernel 4.4.0.36 and
it works correctly, so it's a kernel problem for sure.
The command for mounting is:
sudo mount -t cifs //windowsdomain.ad/carpetes/documents
/home/nico/mnt/carpetes -o
>From irc discussion there aren't any actual hardware support problems,
so closing as invalid.
