The reason for this failure is that the BLKZNAME ioctl is different, zfs
0.6.x has a 255 char name where as 0.7.0 has a 256 char name.
There are test packages ready for testing in a PPA, do you mind trying
these out using:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:colin-king/zfs-lp1763067
sudo apt-get update
I've changed all system with acpi-force with minimal kernel 16.04-hwe
and also removed acpi=force from global kernel cmdline. I believe it
shall make MAAS using correct combination.

initiates with no difficulties, timeouts, etc. on boot. When I first
installed Bionic, ubiquity did not correctly install the swap, and I

2. size of your system (total memory, free memory).
3. Do your drive(s) suffer from large I/O latencies?

You may possibly get some benefit from setting spl_kmem_cache_slab_limit
to zero as a module
It was about 200 datasets or so and we renamed them through a script
with the rename command line program. Nothing special.
I don't work at that company anymore, so i can't reproduce it or look up
the exact command used.

Thanks for finding the mainline 4.10 does not have the bug and 4.11
final does. Can you also test v4.11-rc1, so we can find which release
candidate introduced the bug?

somehow I could once with kernel 4.16.2 and linux-firmware 1.173 get it
working:

I noticed that the notebook is working via HDMI with some other monitor
today. Not sure why.
I'm going to verify this finding with another monitor at home, and if

Took kernel 3.13.0-144 9/4/18. PC booted every day. No other settings
altered. Sound suddenly back when boot pm 12/4/18.
