R: [kicad-users] Tools for Cadence / Mentor footprint symbols formats conversion to Kicad
A: kicad-users@yahoogroups.com Data: Venerdì 23 luglio 2010, 12:41 I am a brand new user of Kicad impressed from the very short time that has been necessary to start working. R: [kicad-users] Fwd: more than one library importing at a time
You can use this empiric rule (used in industry, generally, but also suggested into many books): - Voltage Insulation: 10 volt x mil [ex: 200 volt = 20 mils] - Current, track dimension: the same for a air-wire, about 3A/mm or 3A/100mils for long tracks [1 inch] up to 6A/mm or 6A/100mils for a short track; this for a FR4 (or similar) 35 micron Cu (standard, normally used, board). This condition only for a continuous flux current (ac or dc), the worse case. More current for a more thickness of Cu or for a better duty-cycle. Excuse me for my English. Re: [kicad-users] pcbnew: Problem with grid and module center while moving
--- Sab 1/8/09, Andy Eskelson andyya...@g0poy.co.uk ha scritto: Da: Andy Eskelson andyya...@g0poy.co.uk Oggetto: Re: [kicad-users] pcbnew: Problem with grid and module center while moving A: kicad-users@yahoogroups.com Data: Sabato 1 agosto 2009, 15:36 Most components are already set out to a 50 grid, when you change the grid, the m will move the reference point to the nearest grid point. so leave your grid at 50 and this will not happen. R: [kicad-users] pcbnew: Problem with grid and module center while moving
[kicad-users] A bug (?) and a request.
Grazie, saluti Carlo, I2GOQ
[kicad-users] Zone problem
Qualcuno puo' aiutarmi? Grazie. [kicad-users] 2 questions
Two questions: 1- In EEschema, the Power_pins On/Off have to be forced at any schema begin: but when I have to re-design a schema, the command Power_pins On/Off is always Off. May be I use the power pins in schema to connect a filter or other. When I re-read an old schema, the Power pins are off; the schema is incomplete. Why? I think the command has to be tied to schema, not other. Once more: in Libedit, there's not a control to visualize the power pins. You have to return to Eeschema, set On , return in libedit.C'e' pas bon! 2- an optimum in Eeschema: I can read the datasheets from the schema. But...: why this setting sometimes reset itself ? I need to set yet the device in libedit, to renew the utility. And: where the program write this setting? not in the device (library) not into the cache library not in the schema not Where is it? Why this precious utility reset itself? ok, this one is the 3th: very good the grid at 0.1 mil. In Libedit, however, the zoom is too big: I have some problem to design particular devices.
