Yea, I managed ok with RC1 but when I upgraded to RC3 I could never get it
to work again.
I might have another go sometime this week. Or I might just try to DNAT the
request on to my NT4 machine. Although saying that, that's somthing else I
had trouble with when I moved to RC3 - DNATing port 80
Do I need a null modem cable, or just a regular serial cable? I have a
9pin female-female serial cable, connecting /devttyS0 on the router to
/devttyS0 on the laptop.

I'm fairly sure you need a null-modem cable to switch the RX/TX lines.

have no firewall-entries and no syslog-entries from pptpd, allthough i set
the debug-switch in /etc/ppp/options and /etc/pptpd.conf. have you made the

When i try to start ipsec (/etc/init.d/ipsec start) i have the error:

LEAF is the better choice over the other lists? If this is the case, I
assume you are just looking for a bullet type comparison. I've used only
WinNT for an alternative to LEAF, although I was never satisfied with WinNT.

I have setup Bering LEAF LRP for a cable modem and 2 NICS. I specified eth0 as the loc
