I heard a fan moaning with one of the officials that the East Stand Upper
should have been opened. Their argument was that tickets for the Pompey match
only started to sell after the QPR match and it takes weeks to get permission
to open the new stand. Surely Bates should have been planning for
Speaking of tattooed face and body, does anyone know the tall fella
who sometimes sits in the NE corner who is head to tail tattoos
including an LUFC badge on his face? Often seen in The Cross Keys
pre-match too.

Listening to TMS, I'm intrigued by the reference to the uncomplimentary
O'Brien played 37 games for Portsmouth, and scored a grand total of zero goals.
At least he's improved that statistic now.

Missed kick off for this as the traffic was atrocious. Just shows the
potential we have in the good times to attract a proper crowd.
Agree with Rich W's match report on pretty much every level. It was
barn door obvious we would concede an equaliser in this game or worse.
Collins has to be
I can't add much more to the usual suspects reports. I guess most people
saw the match in the same way.
My only points are that I would not blame O'Brien for much - he is still our
best defender. Surely Schmeichal (sp?) should have shouted that the ball
was his? I've noticed this a few times
I thought there were so many decisions for the ref to make yesterday it was
inevitable that he would annoy one of the two teams. Also it didn't help the
number of times players from both sides feigned injury and tried to get
opposition players booked. I think we had 4 alleged deliberate elbows
If anyone even touched him in the subsequent corner move then the ref was
obviously going to blow for a foul. Again, that's nous.
And when Kaspar was shoved to the ground against Norwich?Compare contrast.

Can't remember - had the ref just stopped play and been over to warn the
Norwich players about it ?

Agreed. Foul vs Norwich and fair enough goal yesterday IMHO. Nevertheless when
the ref had just gone to the bother or warning you
It was a 100% penalty - no doubts about it - the defender just took McCormack
down with no attempt to play the ball - dreadful miss by the officials
As for the disallowed goal much more dubious. The ball came over and McCormack
did take a step backwards befoe flicking it in - when he moved back

Ref did fail as Rich said to spot a good save from Casper
Yes, Kasper definitely got a touch but from the North west corner it actually
looked as if Kaspers touch had taken it nearer to goal than away from it.
From comments on here that was an optical illusion and
More worrying is Kaspers tendency not to communicate or to command his
defence well enough.
He needs some experienced coaching in that department (as if I'd know
anything about it).
Spot on. For a start someone might suggest to him that it would be OK
occasionally to come off his line and

Step 1 Portsmouth attack
Step 2 Ball breaks to Leeds defender
Step 3 Ball passed to Collins
Step 4 Collins panics and passes back to Kasper
