I am sorry that I did not answer your question about the ER 20 system .
They are mainly used in the metal work trade. However They can be used for
wood work.
I use them with milling cutters, and the drawback with them is that they
are parallel shank to cutter.
This of course means that a

Hi Richard
I have to disagree with you about needing the exercise from turning the
handles. If you don’t get the exercise then you might get sent off to an old
people’s home. However it provides you something even more important and that
is eye to hand co-ordination. Obviously from your
Good morning Bill
Legacy calls it the ribbon twist, it is a side cutting method, using a long
straight router bit.
The pitch is the longest one I can do using the X2 gear set.
As I said earlier, the ONLY new concepts here,is the indexing templates.

Hello Richard
do you have a picture of this ER 20 system.
I for one have used collet systems on steel mills, but they were part of the
machine, how do you fit that with a router? or do you just use the collet from
a mill and then use a motor to drive it???
They say a picture is worth 1000
Hi Curt
The only good thing that grows in Australia is their women, the first woman
that I was infatuated with was Australian lady and that was back when I lived
in Malta and was about 10 years old.

Hi Curt
If you look at a Trend T-11 Router it uses this kind of collet arrangement.
Basically you undo the Collet Nut and remove the collet and fit a different
size of collet. Now you would use 1/4" & 1/2" cutters predominately but over
here you find 1/4" & 1/2" cutters along with 8 mm, 10 mm
