We had the same problem with our 3 in 1 HP (copier/scanner/FAX). Found a workaround solution on the Internet. Seems the software was running but was hidden. Even so, the workaround was a hassle and we uninstalled IE 7. HP was supposedly working the issue and may have fixed it by now. Kay F
