Jean, You could also use a SourceWriter template (say, the generic one) and create a Source Override. That should give you the ability to create a full citation, short citation, and bibliography (unlike the Basic Source format), although it's been a long time since I've tried to do that.

Yes, I think think this is probably what I need to do. Or use the overrides as Connie suggests. It's a nit, but I find it highly distracting to view my Master Source List and see some sources preceded by bullets (SourceWriter) versus no (Basic Format). That's my real motivation for using one

I only use the override when the template isn't working to my satisfaction and I plan to publish the source in one of the blogs I write. Otherwise, I just hold off on the citation until I really need to tweak. Sometimes it gets tweaked in the Word document. You could use the basic system,
